MAC Close To Real Lipstick Comparison Swatches

Close To Real by Mac is a very pale nude, lustre lipstick (from Mac in High Def). It has been widely compared to Gosh Velvet Touch lipstick in 134 Darling. Personally I found this much more yellow, although it has that same soft, pale quality. The Natural Collection lipstick (available from Boots) is more in the same colour camp, although it is darker and more peach. It has to be said that nudes are most definitely my lipstick domain, so I was very excited to compile this comparison review. All images are best viewed larger (click them) and please do not steal.Lipsticks are compared to Close To Real and are all by MAC unless otherwise stated. Creme d'Nude (cremesheen), one of my favourite lipsticks, this has slightly more depth and is more orange. Gosh Velvet Touch in 134 Darling, more opaque and definitely more yellow. Semi Annual (lustre) is more gold. Fleshpot (satin) matte, much thicker and darker peach/orange, definitely the least alike. Natural Collection Moisture Shine in Apple Blossom has less of a sheen and is slightly darker peach. Givenchy Rouge Interdit in Voluptuous Nude 26 is more brown.
