Flashback Beauty Friday 60: 17 Miami Pop Lipgloss

Image
Post contains an affiliate link (which can earn the blog a small commission on purchases made). No gifted PR products in this post. I couldn't resist choosing something from Boots budget friendly line, 17 , for Flashback Beauty Friday today, as they have just relaunched with a brand new look. 17 or Seventeen as they were sometimes known, were seen as the more affordable, trendy younger sister of No7. The brand launched in the 60's and were eventually discontinued in 2018 after 50 years. Much to my surprise, they've come back for 2022 with an entire new line up.  Starting from just £2, there's 170 items using vegan ingredients and as always, not tested on animals. My retro item today comes from a limited edition collection in 2011 and if you missed my posts last week, I was looking at one of the MAC Disney Venomous Villains products .

Flashback Beauty Friday 48: 17 x Jonathan Saunders Lipstick

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. An item relating to a post from a couple of months ago coming right up, but first, I blogged yesterday about beauty advent calendars for 2021, so check that out if you're looking to treat yourself or someone else. Last week, Flashback Beauty Friday was one of those bizarre packaged ones, Urban Decay think almost naked men and lipgloss are perfect partners. You need to see it if you missed it!

Flashback Beauty Friday 38: 17 x Jonathan Saunders Eyeshadow

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. I don't think I've featured anything from this brand in Flashback Beauty Friday before. Last week, if you missed it, was the very glitzy Versace beauty range, more specifically my lipgloss collection and the product today is also fashion themed, though a little more subdued!

Beauty Lately...

Image
Post contains some affiliate links, no PR/gifted items. Beauty Lately is a selection of mini reviews on beauty products I've been using lately; good, bad or meh, I include them all! You can find my post from last time here and today I have 6 items for you. Sorry it's taken so long to finish this post, but my back 'went' the other week and I had to drop everything and rest until it was better.  It's completely back to normal now, so I'm happy to be standing up straight and walking again (crawling like a hunchback to the toilet is no fun!), so let's get straight into the beauty bits.

Monster High Monday: Roller Maze Clawdeen

Image
Long time, no Monster High Monday huh? I've just not had time for it recently as it's so very time consuming finding dupes and applying them in a way you wouldn't normally, so it's not something you can do quickly. It's back though and I thought I'd ease myself in, with something relatively simple. I have to add my attempt was a little half hearted and I was lucky it turned out as well as it did, because my head was elsewhere, spacey girl! Anyway it's glitter galore, which was rather scratchy to take off last night!  Oh and we've got a little post-Halloween effect to the photos this week! Clawdeen Wolf is one who often changes her hair colour, which is rather lovely. For the Roller Maze line everyone had a flash of lime green in their outfit or hair and makeup, so the gorgeous lilac hair (seriously loving that hue) has lime streaks and on the lids, you'll hopefully just be able to see green before the gold and glitter. Her lips are a shade o...

Monster High Monday: Ghoul's Rule Frankie

Image
What up peeps? Monster High Monday again, after a little hiatus last week because I took a sneaky day off for some much needed rest. Now, I've had this Frankie doll since last year, but hadn't taken her out of the box until last week. I finally found some room for her on my shelf (which is very quickly running out of space). The Ghoul's Rule line coincided with a DVD movie release and was based around a masked Halloween party, so the outfits, hair and makeup were more wild than usual. In saying that, when I broke Frankie's makeup down, I realised there wasn't actually much to it. I decided against trying to do anything vein/lightening-like which she has on the side of her face and I've never copied her stitched scar before, so didn't intend to this time. There was a lot of icy blue going on, so I felt the veins in particular would have made the look too blue and too Halloween for daytime, for me. I obviously had to mix up a concoction for the lip...

Monster High Monday: School's Out Lagoona

Image
Another MHM and quite a fresh and bright one this week. Lagoona is one of, if not my favourite MH characters, I think she's adorable. This doll was the 2nd wave, sometimes called 'School's Out' and I was lucky enough to find her when she was re-released after passing on her when she first came out. Lagoona isn't too pigeon-holed colour wise and often gets a crazy assortment of patterns, textures and colours per outfit. Her makeup kinda stays the same though, she usually has pinks and turquoises on the eyes and pink lips, being a pretty sea-monster. So if you see another similar Monster High Monday in the future, it will be a different doll! I had a panic once I uploaded the photos as her lips looked peachy in the pics yet pink in real life. I had found the perfect lip dupe and thought you would all be thinking I was losing it, choosing pink when you can see her lips are peach. However when I got to the photos of me, the lips were exactly the same, peach! ...

PHP's Beloved Beauty Bits (February)

Image
Another month and another selection of beauty favourites I've been using. Generally, I've been really into lipgloss after neglecting them for ages. I wouldn't necessarily say the lipsticks in my challenge were in need of spicing up, but the glosses happened to work well over them all. I also have a new discovery, a ridiculously old faithful and some other bits and bobs. First up is Harajuku Lovers 'Wicked Style' in Baby . I've been feeling a little bored of my perfumes lately, but it's something I can't really afford to splash out on just now, so I've been making do with what I have. My favourite HL fragrances are empty now, but I've grown quite fond of this one over the past wee while after forcing myself to try something different. We have to talk about the bottle, which is perhaps the most adorable across the whole brand (especially the back!) and I have to admit to hating the original Baby fragrance as it's far too powdery, sweet ...
