Here's my second part of the advent calendar reveals (you can find Part 1 here ), days 9-16 for Paul & Joe and as I'm opening the Barry M one every second day (it's a 12 day advent), days 5-8. We'll begin with the Paul & Joe Makeup Collection 2021 , Day 9 , which were these adorable cat shaped hair clips. They have Paul & Joe written on one side and cat whiskers on the other. I was really excited to get these as it's quite a unique item, something that isn't sold separately here.

I said I would probably keep you updated on the Paul & Joe Makeup Collection 2021 (or advent calendar) as I opened it.  So here's my first part, days 1-8, I'm super impressed already.  Much like the last one I bought in 2019, there's been a mix of their makeup and skincare so far and something utterly adorable!  I also bought another beauty advent during Cyber Monday.  After including it in my list of 20 beauty advent calendars on the blog, back in October, I've been thinking I'd rather like it.  So read on for that too.

Beauty Lately... is a selection of mini reviews; good, bad or indifferent of beauty products I'm currently using. If you missed it, you can find my post from last week here . Today I have a couple of new to me brands, a new season lip product and a rediscovered favourite nail polish.

No7 Serum Sheet Masks: Deal Better Than 1/2 Price

Image
I'm a massive fan of masking. If you follow me on Instagram , you'll likely be aware of this, as I regularly post photos of my masking exploits in my Stories. I was in Boots a while ago and noticed No7 had launched their own sheet masks and I was super excited! I don't know why masking is so fun to me, but it is, I just love it and am always thrilled to see new releases or try one I haven't.

ASOS Clinique Beauty Box (July 2018)

Image
It was November last year, when I previously blogged about the ASOS beauty box . I've bought most of the monthly boxes since then and July is a special one as it only contains Clinique products. The brand has just launched at ASOS, so the box is to celebrate and it's a great way of trying out several products.

What's In My (Travel) Bag: Skincare Edit

Image
I'm back from my overnight stay in Glasgow and thought I'd put this together, much like the 'what's in my bag' style posts you see, but of the beauty products I took with me. I've separated the makeup bit for another post, so this is the skincare edition. Being away from home is a bit of a novelty for me. I used to be here, there and everywhere but now it's very rare that I'm anywhere but home! I hate packing though and always have. I usually take too much because I like having choices and hate that feeling of completely forgetting something or choosing to leave something behind that I probably end up needing. This time though, I tried to pack as light as possible and thankfully had everything I needed. Well, almost. Ok, so starting with cleansers. A small bottle of Lancome BiFacil for removing eye makeup and I squeezed some Lancome Gel Eclat cleanser into this small jar my sister lent me. I have several Galateis Douceur travel sizes, but th...

Vanity Organised

Image
I've been tidying my tip of a bedroom bit by bit this year and the more I do, the more hopeless it seems. I am a collector (if you hadn't already guessed) and have a rather obsessive nature which I've discovered is genetic (we found over 100 pairs of scissors when we cleared out my Granny's house-random I know and she still had her mind!). Basically I own too many things. The shoes alone take up the majority of my bedroom, then there's the dolls I've collected for the past 30 years, the huge amount of cosmetics I own, the large jewellery collection, the hundreds of dresses...I could go on all day. I'm a 'keeper' (prefer that term to 'hoarder'!), I'm not big on throwing stuff out especially if it's got some sort of meaning and I tend to grow attached to all my belongings! With my typical Gemini split-personality though, I do get a huge sense of satisfaction when I throw out a big bag of rubbish, I do love cleaning (not so big on...

Soap & Glory Addict

Image
Am I the biggest Soap & Glory fan ever? I just had to take these pictures of my current stash, when I realised the amount of products I had amassed. There are so many favourites in there and lots of new things I can't wait to try out. My staples are the heavenly Glow Lotion, Clean on Me shower gel, fantabulous Hand Food, Righteous Butter, Flake Away exfoliator and indulgent baths with Calm One, Calm All. Sexy Mother Pucker does wonders for my lips and I admit I've become slightly obsessed with its plumping, tingling sensation. I'm a complete convert to the luxurious Heel Genius and I can't rave enough for Hair Supply. For faking fresh and fabulous skin I use the totally unique Glow Job and my puffy eyes are banished with the cooling Supereyes, Supereyes.

My Vanity

Image
I've made some progress tidying my room, although it's been put on hold this week, whilst I sort out my ebay parcels. I'm pleased to have finished my little vanity area, which was in a terrible state. I threw out loads of old things, sorted my hair clips and elastics into cute tins and displayed my fragrances better. As you can see from the pics (the first image has some little notes), my everyday fragrances are Ghost, Lancome Miracle, Still by Jennifer Lopez, 'L' Gwen Stefani and my Harajuku Lovers (most used are L'il Angel and G). I wear YSL Elle on special occassions (it's quite overpowering) and occassionally use Lacoste Touch of Pink (nearly finished the huge bottle and fallen out of love with it lately) and Cacheral Anais Anais. I've just finished Love at First Glow (J Lo) and another bottle of Christian Dior J'adore. I used to work on a perfume counter so got loads of freebies there, the huge bottle of J'adore, Envy, Very Valentino and Or...
