Tips: Low Energy Beauty Routine

Image
I've been wanting to write this post for some time, considering how much my beauty regime has changed this year, but to be truthful I wasn't sure if it was of any interest to you . I've had to learn and deal with a lot of changes in my appearance over the past few months and of course that's had a knock-on effect to my confidence.  So I decided any pro-self-esteem post was worth writing if it helps anyone else out there. For a little background and to hopefully clear up those " the shoe girl diaries illness " or " what illness does pink haired princess have " searches that are leading to my blog, I have M.E. I know I still haven't finished my (When Life Sucks) posts about my illness and how it came about, but it's not forgotten I promise. I've been ill for over 12 years now and finally got to a point where I was able to get dressed up and 'look' ok, even when I wasn't feeling that great. This year though, my iron dipped ...

PHP's Beloved Beauty Bits (April)

I often see bloggers write monthly round-ups of the beauty products they've been loving and for some reason last month I was particularly conscious of the bits and bobs I was using. So I thought I'd create a new (hopefully monthly) feature of my Beloved Beauty Bits (BBB). Beauty bloggers tend to be pretty fickle and the product you love to pieces one month, doesn't get a look in the next. I'm always trying out new things and especially through my Lipstick Challenge, have been rediscovering old favourites, so this will tackle all those! Read on for my favourites over the last few weeks... A lot of my beloved bits have been based around my new hair colour and style. Starting with dry shampoo. It's always been a staple of mine as my hair doesn't get washed every day (and doesn't like being washed every day), so this tides you over in between times. However since cutting my hair shorter, I've been bordering on obsessed with the powdery stuff! I'v...

Review: Boss Orange Fragrance

Image
I received these items a few months ago and have been wearing the pendant almost every day! I love innovative ways of presenting fragrance. Scent is such a difficult thing to critique, given that it's so personal and what I like or how it smells on me isn't how it will work on you or to your tastes. I also think because of the massive range available in the fragrance market, it's the quirky bottles or packaging that usually stand out to me. Anyway, let me begin with the original fragrance Boss Orange Eau de Parfum (prices from £26). That said, this fragrance didn't immediately strike me as having a particularly fascinating bottle, but the adverts with Sienna Miller have been played on TV for months so it was impossible for it not to be on my radar. The bottle reminds me of stacked ice cubes, while the silver sides with embossed logo are certainly in keeping with the sleek Boss brand. The fragrance itself is pleasant enough, quite light with a mix of vanilla, apple and w...
