Flashback Beauty Friday 96: BeneFit Glamourette

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. Last week I shared a now discontinued product by Australian brand, SugarBaby (Glamour Puss) , if you missed that. I'm hoping to blog every day in the run up to Christmas with special 'Holiday' launches past and present, as I did last year. I realised I have absolutely loads of limited edition Christmas releases, so can definitely manage another year of it, so that will replace our Friday posts during December. Today, I have one of my most treasured makeup items, something that makes me feel very nostalgic as I wanted this so badly.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. Last week I shared a couple of powders from discontinued boutique brand, Pout and today I have another complexion product for you. I'll admit I was hoping to do something a bit more exciting this week, but the weather has been so terrible (dark and awful rain), that I've been unable to get decent enough lighting at any point in the day for photos. It's calmer sounding now, but was torrential earlier. We've actually been getting less rain than usual, so I guess it decided to dump it all at once and then some!

Sorry for the no post last week, I've been struggling to keep up with very low energy levels and almost continual migraines.  However, I was determined to get something up today. Last time I shared the old genie style bottle of Urban Decay Primer Potion and today I have a couple of powder items from discontinued brand, Pout. I've featured boutique brand, Pout here many times now. They ceased trading in 2007 and anything I didn't already own, I snapped up in their clearance sales. Clearly the items today were from back when I wore makeup regularly as both are almost completely used up, a rare for me these days. The Pout packaging is so pretty, I thought they were worth keeping to photograph for these posts.

Last week I shared the Guerlain Divinora eyeshadow quad and I've just remembered I changed my mind about the other two palettes I owned and did photograph and swatch them (after), however I've not had a good week, so I've not been able to do anything with the photos yet. If I get it done this following week, I'll alert you to the update in my next FBF post.  This week I have something I previously mentioned whilst writing about the Urban Decay Surreal Skin Liquid Makeup last month. It is of course the iconic Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion or UDPP as it was often shortened to back in the day.

I have a very deluxe looking eye palette for you today after the amazing liquid eyeshadows from discontinued brand, Versace , last week. Definitely check that out if you haven't seen it, the swatches are not to be missed.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. I've been unsuccessfully trying to buy the new Dior Holiday collection since it launched a couple of days ago on their site, however they've been having technical issues with payment.  Thankfully it's all fixed today, so I'm hoping I get it tomorrow, but if not it'll be Monday.  Usually DPD bring it on the Saturday even if it's not due until Monday.  Ideally I wanted it before the weekend, but it can't be helped.  Anyway this week I have some more discontinued items after my beautiful limited edition Dior Beauty Confidential 'envelope' palette last week.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. I've been quite excited this week as the festive makeup collections are starting to come out. I bought a lot of MAC's Bubbles & Bows and it all looks lovely, I'm really saving for the Paul & Joe Cinnamoroll release and their advent calendar though (which I love every year). I've already bought Mum the Elemis calendar for Christmas.  Anyway last week, I shared the Stila sponge compact foundation, Pivotal Skin , if you missed that. Today I have a limited edition piece that means a lot to me.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. Sticking with foundation again this week after the genie bottled Urban Decay Surreal Skin last time. I've been rummaging again and discovered yet more great things for these posts. I really need time to photograph everything so I can then sort through and decide what can be thrown out and the things that regardless of age, I just couldn't part with (i.e. the covetable and collectable). Why I was still hanging onto this one, I don't know.

Alongside the limited edition packaging I feature in my weekly Flashback Beauty Friday posts, I also share discontinued products or packaging evolution of a product over the years. Last week, I posted a fragrance for the first time, with the limited edition glass bottle of Anais Anais and today I have a discontinued foundation. I think I've only featured foundation once here; the beneFit record compact , as generally speaking, foundation tubes and bottles aren't that interesting to look at, but this bottle certainly is.

Post contains affiliate links, no PR gifted items. Back to a limited edition item this week after a couple of variations of BeneFit lipgloss  last time. Something a bit different too, as I've never shared a fragrance in my Flashback Beauty Friday posts before.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. A quicker post today after the mammoth Hard Candy Eye Shadow Quartets last week. I had the optician's the other day, my first time out of the street in 2 and a half years and the first time I've been outside since a dentist appointment in January (exciting life I lead eh?) and I wore the HC Moody palette. I've fallen in love with those palettes all over again, so I couldn't resist. The green is so pretty; a soft muted colour but it has this sheen and brightness to it that make it stand out without being garish.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. Warning, there's over 40 photos in this post, so grab a cuppa! This is the post I've been teasing for weeks.  An iconic oldie and one that I just couldn't resist photographing in a big way, especially when the swatches started. I'm not kidding when I say they brought a tear to my eye, they are sooo good. Firstly, last week was the second of my lip stain pens, this time Urban Decay's offering , so click that if you have time to read it later. If you've already seen that, then read on for the mega post.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. Day 3 of an awful migraine means a quick post for you today. Seeing as I briefly mentioned this product last week when talking about Eyeko's Fruity Felt Lip Pen , I thought I'd share the Urban Decay version. I'm sure UD released theirs first, we're talking early Noughties, like 2002-ish.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. I had another good rummage last weekend for products for this series and discovered a lot. There were a couple of things that had me teary eyed, one in particular I'd completely forgotten I owned and I love it. I'm thinking of doing my Christmas blogs again this year, so am saving any special festive launches for then. Seeing as schools went back here this week after the summer holidays, I thought it apt to photograph these items today. Firstly, last week was the jewellery themed  Lancôme tubed eyeshadows and gloss from 2007 if you missed that.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. Should I tell you the story about photographing these three times?  I probably shouldn't!  I'd already previously photographed the gloss, but remembering I had the eyeshadow (green, I thought), I decided to take them together.  After doing that yesterday (I was awake from 5am because of the heat), I was convinced I really did have the green (I pondered if age had discoloured it, until I read the shade name and knew it had nothing to do with green), so rummaged further and did indeed find a green tube.  I don't remember owning two, but clearly I did! If I wasn't so fussy, I would've just added in some separate photos, but here we are (I even changed the background because I wasn't happy with it)! If you're new here, Flashback Beauty Friday is a look back at old discontinued or limited edition beauty items.  These posts were supposed to be a quick wee photo and description, but I get carried away wi...

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. Don't yell at me, but I still don't have that post I've been teasing for weeks! I felt really unwell last night and I'd been busy during the day doing other things for the blog, so it's on hold again. It won't be next week either because if I can tease you some more, it's the brand I'm talking about today and I don't like doing the same two weeks running. It's one of their most iconic items if that gives you a couple of clues. Last time I shared the pretty Stila travel palette, Striking In South Beach if you missed that.

Unfortunately I don't have the post I spoke about last week (the one with lots of photos) as I still haven't had time to edit them, but I do have a cute wee palette for you today. Last week, I shared a couple of eyeshadows from the MAC Alexander McQueen collaboration, if you missed those.

I've really been suffering in this heat the past wee while, I'm not enjoying it at all. I'm fine without rain and like the bright sky, but I can't stand being too hot. I was able to take some photos yesterday of a collection I've been meaning to share for Flashback Beauty Friday for a while now, but there's too many photos to get through today, so I'll save it for next week. Last time, was the pretty Paul & Joe hummingbird print on a fan and lipstick, today it's another fusion between fashion and beauty.

As I was frantically fanning myself this past week, it reminded me of something I could photograph for Flashback Beauty Friday, so that's what I have today. Last time I shared my collection of Playboy Calendar Girl lipsticks with swatches, if you missed that.
