Much like Flashback Beauty Friday but with a festive twist; everything featured will be from limited edition, Christmas collections, past and present. Yesterday I shared a Paul & Joe item from the current collection and today I have an update on one of my posts from last year. Over on The Shoe Girl Diaries I'm blogging my Christmas Irregular Choice shoes and at the bottom of each post, there's an online free gift or discount code.

Something brand new for you today, but if you missed yesterday, it was a lovely little cat print set from Paul & Joe in 2017 . My Irregular Choice Festive Footwear post will (hopefully, my head is pounding) be up later on The Shoe Girl Diaries and as always, check the bottom of the post for a little treat.

40th Birthday Shoes: Dolce & Gabbana

Image
Post contains affiliate link and no PR items. You might remember my post last year about my new-ish tradition of buying myself a pair of designer shoes for my birthday.  That and watching the Korean zombie film, Train To Busan (on my own because nobody else in my house would like it)!  Last year I bought the Charlotte Olympia t-bars and the previous year, Vivienne Westwood suede boots.  This year I turned 40, so I decided (pre-Covid) that such a milestone called for a mega treat of 4 pairs throughout the year, one for each quarter of the year (not so minted that I could buy them all at once!) and four seemed apt (and more manageable/sensible than 40!) to represent 40.  A lot of my friends had lavish holidays (multiple) planned throughout the year to celebrate their birthdays, which isn't something I could do with being ill and as a family we were struggling to find something I could manage to celebrate, so we had no plans before Coronavirus hit.  I figured ...

My Favourite Sunglasses And Why I'll Only Buy High End

Image
You probably know this, but several years ago I developed an obsession with sunglasses. It began with cheapo Primark ones that I liked and at £2 a pop, didn't hurt my bank balance. One in every colour? Sure. I bought loads. I liked that it was another aspect of my outfit that I could chop and change to whatever I fancied that day, like jewellery or a handbag. Then, I don't know what triggered it, but I started seeking out unusual shapes or colours or frames with fancy bits on them and thus delved into the world of luxury eyewear. I bought the stunning loopy legged 'Minimal Baroque' from Prada, sleek and fierce cat-eye 'Nikita' by Tom Ford and a couple of deliciously quirky takes on 'cat eyes' from Irregular Choice (well one was a birthday present). Last year I eventually tracked down the gingham D&G frames that I'd unwillingly left behind in TKMaxx years previous. I even found the limited edition red Dior Miss Cherie pair that again, I...

Shoe Haul Images

So here's a round-up of all the shoes featured in my haul video . I'm still waiting on some cute fluffy boots from Miss Selfridge and Bertie 'Superstar' wedges. I did get one delivery today (half my Boots order), so some mail is getting through the snow! Although the snow has just started up again for the millionth time this week! Please remember to clear the snow off the roof of your car as police in Fife anyway are giving you an on the spot fine and penalty points (it's dangerous if it falls onto your windscreen don't ya know?). I took almost all of these images in the one day, so just wore the same tights throughout, so they don't exactly look right with some styles. The tights are Miss Selfridge and I stuck my hand through them on the first wear, so they'll go in the bin now! First up, these stunning, Michael Lewis 'Rosalina' SS'10 shoes. Check out that heel! Game of chess anyone? They are super padded inside, underfoot. I'm a...

Shoe Haul

Image
No posts over the weekend, because I've been super busy working on this video of my latest shoe hauls. Hope you like it-comment on my youtube channel ! I may post the images here at some point, as the quality is a little lost in the vid...maybe shouldn't have worn those tights with hindsight. How's the weather with you? Pretty snowy here, so not much happening. Oh and I managed to order the Miss Selfridge boots I missed out on...just hope they fit, if they ever arrive through the snow!

Oh My!

It's Saturday and what does that mean? Cupcakes from Bibi's , yipee!! I tried the chocolate/peanut butter one today, sickly and yummy (it actually had a blob of peanut butter in the sponge). I'm in a bad mood today rather than depressive (is that better?), I didn't sleep well and this is probably too much information for you but it's that 'time of the month' (a whole week early no less) and it's left me tired and grumpy and I just want to hibernate (which I do most days anyway)! A little miracle did happen though-I was busy taking photos of my Dolce and Gabbana wedges for eBay and decided I would have one last attempt at trying them on....and they actually fit! How did that happen? I was so excited by this that I immediately snapped some photos which I apologize in advance for-my pedicure has been untouched for weeks and I haven't shaved my legs since last weekend and I also rolled up my PJ bottoms (which thankfully you can't see or else all my f...
