Ok, I promise not to bore you with many more Taaz images, but I've learnt a few things from using it over the past couple of days.
I'm completely unafraid of colour. I kinda already knew this, but had it reconfirmed, when I tried this platinum blonde version of the dark Katy Perry cut I loved. It shouldn't work, but actually I reckon it looks ok (if it was 'real' hair rather than the awful quality of the Taaz colour shown here). With the right makeup and cut I reckon I can get away with any colour, which is very lucky.
This leads me onto the next point which is 'I am afraid of the cut'. I've tried picking styles I don't like on the celebrity or that I do like on them but don't think would suit me. More often than not, I realise I'm right, it doesn't suit me.
-I don't suit up-do's. Although I never wear my hair up these days, I used to never wear it down, so it's surprising that I completely dislike it up.
-I don't suit middle partings-boo, no sleek J-Lo look for me.
-I need height-any smooth, sleek style just makes my face even rounder (see below image).
-I do suit a fringe or anything that frames my face.
-Sometimes you can go too far. Ok, I know it is all fun and nothing is really changing in real life, but I freaked myself out with the above and below images. You wouldn't think the hair is that radical but I just lost myself in it, I can't see myself in the picture at all and that's scary. Even although I love the style (above), it's just not 'me'.
The makeup I used on these images was actually very versatile considering the change in hair colours and style. The lipstick is heavily applied MAC Viva Glam III. The platinum blonde image is Katy Perry, the sparkly hair clip one is Rose Byrne and the other is Megan Fox.
Have you learned anything from Taaz or has it tempted you to be more daring or the opposite (stick with what you know)? Also is it just me or is the blush really difficult to use? I can never get that part to look right and it always looks darker on one cheek.
Hello ladies, glad to see you're also becoming Taaz obsessed! I really need to get a life instead of toying with the idea of changing hair colour, how I'd look with bronzer or plumping my lips!
I'm actually finding that I'm choosing things that in reality wouldn't suit me, yet they seem to look good on the virtual me. Remember my horror at colouring my hair dark earlier this year? I hated it, yet the dark look seems to appeal on screen. I think I just suit the more gothic look because of my pale skin. I was blonde in real life for years and the colour seemed to really suit me, yet I'm not so keen on it on Taaz.
This morning I took a horrendous no makeup, hair scraped back photo (die!) to upload as there were some hairstyles where my real hair was sticking out the sides or top yesterday. The photo is horrible and even with the Taaz makeup I'm not convinced I look presentable. I wish they had powder...they don't do they? Or concealer that you could choose where to put it! Hee hee! The hair is Sienna Miller btw.
This makeover (below, from yesterday) started off as a Taylor Momsen blonde feathered 'do, but it didn't look right. I tried a few different colours and styles of hair but kept the makeup the same. I think I finally got it right with the last image. It just shows you, how a small change can make a huge difference.

What looks are you loving? Are you trying out things you wouldn't in real life? And more seriously, will we ever get bored of this? Haha!
I haven't used the virtual makeover site Taaz, in years. At the weekend though I got an email from Topshop and their cosmetics are available to transform you on Taaz, so I thought I'd give it a go. I was keen to see what Vamp lipstick would look like on me. For that reason, I don't think the site is very precise though. I tried out a couple of products I do own and they looked completely different on the virtual me from real life me-so it's not really a good indication of how they will look in real life. My Topshop makeovers resulted in me looking like a bad drag queen-but I may as well embarrass myself and show you how not to do it! The second is supposedly Vamp lippie-bleugh, not the vampish purple I was expecting!

I am completely addicted to the site now though-it's ridiculous. It's so much fun. If you don't know anything about it, it's very easy to use. Just upload a photo of yourself (best without makeup and hair pulled back)-I don't have any non makeup photos of me on my computer, so I just uploaded several with. You can then pick everything from foundation to eyeshadow, contacts, lipstick and the best bit...hair!
As someone who's had several big colour and cut changes in my life, I'm always banging on about how important it is to modify your makeup to suit your new look. I find I can get away with so much more makeup in darker, more dramatic colours when I'm dark haired. Yet the same would make me look like a drag queen when blonde. With pink hair, I find it's best to play up the pink colours (blush, lips) even although I normally suit earthy lips and peach blush.

Above images show a before and after and below, the exact same makeup/eyes but with red hair rather than blonde. It's easy to see which areas you would have to tweak to suit the new colouring. You can click images to enlarge.
