Festive Beauty 2022: Day 19

Image
Post contains an affiliate link (which can earn the blog a small commission on purchases made). No gifted PR products in this post. I realise I'm several posts behind, I knew it would happen. I have such good intentions, but clearly am unrealistic about what I can manage! Anyway, last time I shared the current season Dior Vernis including the top coat . I still haven't had the chance to do my nails, I've broken almost all of them over the past few weeks and keep meaning to do them, but never have time. Today I have another current season item, because my Kiko order from November arrived yesterday! It's taken nearly a month, but 'tis the season for strikes and delays in 2022. Remember to check the bottom of each post for a little online treat and head over to The Shoe Girl Diaries where I'm blogging Irregular Choice festive shoes.

At the bottom of the post there's an online offer and over on The Shoe Girl Diaries I'm sharing festive shoes from my Irregular Choice collection.

Flashback Beauty Friday 96: BeneFit Glamourette

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. Last week I shared a now discontinued product by Australian brand, SugarBaby (Glamour Puss) , if you missed that. I'm hoping to blog every day in the run up to Christmas with special 'Holiday' launches past and present, as I did last year. I realised I have absolutely loads of limited edition Christmas releases, so can definitely manage another year of it, so that will replace our Friday posts during December. Today, I have one of my most treasured makeup items, something that makes me feel very nostalgic as I wanted this so badly.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. I've been quite excited this week as the festive makeup collections are starting to come out. I bought a lot of MAC's Bubbles & Bows and it all looks lovely, I'm really saving for the Paul & Joe Cinnamoroll release and their advent calendar though (which I love every year). I've already bought Mum the Elemis calendar for Christmas.  Anyway last week, I shared the Stila sponge compact foundation, Pivotal Skin , if you missed that. Today I have a limited edition piece that means a lot to me.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. I hope you're all well this week? Today I have a selection of items from 2009. I had already photographed the blushes for this post, then later discovered I owned the eyeshadow quad from the same range. I decided to retake all the photos so you could see all the items together. Last week, I shared the Summer 2007 YSL palettes if you missed that.

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items. I hope you enjoyed my post last week, which was a little history of the Dior Addict lip gloss packaging and the small changes they've made over the years. Today, I'm going back 11 years, to a limited edition piece. One of those "too pretty to use" types!

Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifts. I'm posting a little later because I decided to give you a big post today. Rather than concentrating on one item, I thought I'd share everything I bought from one limited edition collection. Firstly, if you're new here, welcome. Flashback Beauty Friday is a weekly feature taking a look back at older discontinued or limited edition beauty items and their packaging, just for fun and a little reminisce. Last week, I shared the Urban Decay cocktail flavoured glosses if you missed it.

Compact Powders Storage

Image
Last week I was hunting for more things to sell on eBay and in my usual fashion, got distracted (although technically it was for a good deed) and managed to find storage for my overspill of blush and highlighting powders. I got this black sparkly Lancome vanity case last year and I realise as I'm writing this that I've still never actually shown you what was inside and the rest of the haul that went with it! I do still have the photos somewhere and will eventually get round to posting them! Anyway, I grabbed all my extra powders (I already have a shallow drawer with my blushes and a deep one with more blush and highlighters-which was getting too full to close). I also had some newer, homeless Lancome and MAC powders and amazingly, the entire overspill (and a good chunk of the 'deep drawer') fitted perfectly into this case, with the exception of two compacts which sit on top, but I'm mega excited at the neat little rows! Everything just slotted in perfectly. I t...

My Makeup Stash and Storage

Image
*This is a marathon post, but hopefully you'll enjoy it. I hope to provide more detailed images over time. Although some of these pictures were taken quite quickly, it still took ages to edit and put together so please do not steal them* Ok, I promised stash pictures and have been meaning to do this for a long time, even before I started this blog. I've been a member of MUA for years and always figured at some point I would photograph my collection. However I've just been overwhelmed by the sheer size. Where do you start? Years ago, when I was at University, I used to pretty much work out of a vanity case (a leaving pressie from the chemist I worked when I was at school). It went everywhere with me. My foundation, concealer, blusher, eyeliners, mascaras, brushes etc were all contained in there. When I think of it now, I can't understand quite how I managed that! Lip products (99% lipstick rather than gloss) were housed in a huge hat box. I used to get loads of freeb...
