LOTD: Week 5

Gang, hello, long time no see.  I realise I'm posting two LOTD's back to back ( Week 4 here ), but the accompanying Life Lately post is going to combine both weeks as I didn't do much nor do I have many notes for this period.  The previous week I'd taken my first trip out of the house all year, so that took it's toll and I needed time to recover, hence why I wasn't capable of doing a whole lot.  Things in my current life (my LL/LOTD posts are months behind), have also taken a bit of a turn.  I'm suffering from a herniated/slipped disc at the moment, which is extremely debilitating and painful.  I'm not getting much sleep because I can't move into a more comfortable position, I'm needing my walking stick and assistance to go to the bathroom in the adjacent room, I'm still in the same ...

LOTD: Week 4

Post does not contain any PR gifted products.  Post contains affiliate links, marked with * (which can earn the blog a small commission on purchases made). Hi gang, sorry for the delay between posts lately.  I've been in a bit of a funk mood-wise and have taken up decorative journaling (not writing) in loose-leaf binders to be exact.  I'm really loving it and I've found it's something I'm actually managing without becoming completely shattered.  I've been doing a little bit each day and that's obviously eaten into any time I would normally have spent blogging.  I can't do it all and as poor as my quality of life has been over the years, I don't think it's too selfish to prioritise something I'm finding really enjoyable.  Anyway, it doesn't look like I'm going to get caught up on these posts anytime soon (may live to regret starting so far behind, but at the same time a lot of the work had already been done so...), but here's anoth...

LOTD: Week 2

Post does not contain any PR gifted products.  Post contains affiliate links, marked with * (which can earn the blog a small commission on purchases made). I'm back with my second 'Lip Of The Day' weekly round-up, catch my first post here if you missed it and if you're new to my blog altogether, welcome.  Here, I post which lip products and perfumes I've been wearing each day.  A little reminder that these posts are currently weeks behind and that I do sometimes wear older makeup (unless it looks or smells icky), as I like to use my products as much as I can.  That said, I tend to reach for balms, oils and glosses these days which happen to be more current.  I wear perfume throughout the day and most nights put on another before bedtime.  EDT stands for Eau de Toilette and EDP is Eau de Parfum.

Fancy A Flamingo?

Image
I've always had a bit of a fascination with flamingo prints on clothing and accessories. Known for being kitsch, quirky and fun, it definitely appeals to my playful side. It's no surprise then that I'm captivated by the new Moschino Cheap & Chic collection , where the pink feathered birds take centre stage. In saying that, the collection is a little less 'in your face' than you'd expect, with fresh white and pastel shades, rather than a more traditional 'tropical' print. The birds feature these cute, dangling beaded legs, which give added movement and dimension to the clothes.  It's a really lovely touch.   It's well worth browsing that collection even if it's only to 'window shop' because every item is so wonderful, I'm in awe of it all. If I had to pick a favourite, it would probably be the flamingo shaped bag £393.  Every season Moschino produce these wonderful quirky shaped bags, from a 'paper boat', to a ...

New Miu Miu Shoes & Love Moschino Brooch

Image
Quick picture post of my new shoes that arrived yesterday. I bought them from Yoox on the 19th, they were shipped from Italy on the 20th and arrived on the 25th, which is excellent! This Miu Miu box is slightly different to my older ones, with a brocade style lining, ooooh fancy! You know you're onto a good thing, when you get branded tissue paper and dust-bags. Even more so if they put spare heel tips in a separate envelope! The shoes are black suede, they sometimes look navy in certain lights, but are black. They have amazing embellishments all over and a softly rounded toe. The heel is gold metal ('knitting needle' as my Mum would say) with the embellishment detail again at the top, which is just beautiful. I also purchased a Love Moschino brooch, which was basically free as I had a 10% off and free delivery code which took the total back to the original price of the shoes with shipping!  I'm so crap at maths until it comes to worki...

When Shizzle Happens

Image
If you follow me on Facebook, you'll realise I was in a bit of a dilemma regarding the purchase of a Love Moschino handbag. Brandalley were running a sale for a few days last week and there were tonnes of styles I liked, which I whittled down to the three that I thought I'd get most use of and that would work with my wardrobe. I've come to discover I'm kinda hopeless at being pushed to make a decision, at least when it comes to clothes, shoes, makeup and the like. I think it stems from not having a lot of money, so any 'big' purchase feels really indulgent and fills me with fear that I'll regret it..  So I asked you for your help as I trust you lot in these types of situations! Any purchase I make, especially of considerable value has me in this sort of turmoil of will it be worth it/will I like it/will it fit/will I use it often enough? and so on and I always do my homework before committing. I must have spent at least three days going back and forth...

Super Shoes

Image
Crap-sticks, this is the second time in a week I've been in the middle of writing a post and blogger hasn't saved a damn thing and I've lost it all (although I'm partly to blame for not pressing 'save' this time in my haste, but you'd think it would do so along the way itself). Anyway, back to typing this all out again and when was the last time I did a shoe-haul post? It feels like forever! I've been on an unofficial no-buy for 2-3 months now due to trying to pay back my ISA (I kept stealing from it to fund purchases), lack of space and gearing up for building work to begin on the house (which will mean even less space) and I just haven't been feeling well enough to go shopping. A couple of weeks ago though, I was feeling really sorry for myself after receiving bad news about my gums, coupled with facing a month of almost constant 'treatments' for it. I decided I should be allowed one treat for being a 'good girl' throughout it a...
