Pink Haired Princess

[Post contains affiliate links] I started a birthday custom a few years back of buying myself a pair of designer shoes. A bit indulgent, gifting yourself something, but I suppose that was the point.  I guess because I buy Irregular Choice all year round, it didn't feel out of the ordinary to do that, but this felt a little special. Last year, I bought Vivienne Westwood boots . Well actually, I bought myself 2 pairs of shoes, but sadly these Moschino Couture heels were too big, so I'm selling those. I'd lusted after something in that traffic cone and floral print for so long, so it was really disappointing, though the boots softened the blow.

I held back on posting this last year. As much as I love to see previews, when Christmas is coming up, the last thing on my mind is summery clothes, sandals and swimwear. Actually that last one is never on my mind. I might just have had my period every. single. week during school swimming! Anyway one thing, I can get my head around now is new season shoes, Melissa ones in fact.

I've been wanting to write this post for some time, considering how much my beauty regime has changed this year, but to be truthful I wasn't sure if it was of any interest to you . I've had to learn and deal with a lot of changes in my appearance over the past few months and of course that's had a knock-on effect to my confidence.  So I decided any pro-self-esteem post was worth writing if it helps anyone else out there. For a little background and to hopefully clear up those " the shoe girl diaries illness " or " what illness does pink haired princess have " searches that are leading to my blog, I have M.E. I know I still haven't finished my (When Life Sucks) posts about my illness and how it came about, but it's not forgotten I promise. I've been ill for over 12 years now and finally got to a point where I was able to get dressed up and 'look' ok, even when I wasn't feeling that great. This year though, my iron dipped ...

So I'm supposed to be looking at shoes on the Sarenza site, but I notice a bag in the sale that I like, then spy another pretty bag and another....! We all know about my shoe obsession, but one that comes and goes is my bag obsession. Over the years I've gone through phases of buying handbags non-stop, then not liking any of the 'trends' and therefore buying none. Lately though, all I see is pretty bags!  You'll recall my Irregular Choice unicorn and cat bags . My first ' mid week must haves ' contained guess what? Two cute bags! However I keep finding more I want to share, so I've put together some of my favourites in this post and also how I'd style them.

I haven't deserted you for a second time-I've been super busy preparing several posts, including a reflective The Shoe Girl Diaries , seeing as I haven't been getting dressed and posting outfits very regularly. I've been unwell, so it's nice to remember that I can actually look presentable on occasion and have some awesome dresses and shoes buried in the depths of my bedroom! I'm also working on a brand new feature for Pink Haired Princess, which is both exciting and scary (and the latter is making me nervous, hence why I haven't revealed all yet), I will do it this week. Anyway back to this post and it's shoe-mazing! Filled with my purchases over the past few months. I don't buy nearly as many shoes as I used to, because I don't have room and I need to wait until my shoe-room is complete to see what I have and what needs to go.
