Pink Haired Princess

Long time, no Monster High Monday huh? I've just not had time for it recently as it's so very time consuming finding dupes and applying them in a way you wouldn't normally, so it's not something you can do quickly. It's back though and I thought I'd ease myself in, with something relatively simple. I have to add my attempt was a little half hearted and I was lucky it turned out as well as it did, because my head was elsewhere, spacey girl! Anyway it's glitter galore, which was rather scratchy to take off last night!  Oh and we've got a little post-Halloween effect to the photos this week! Hello! A sunny day today, so I was looking for a bright and cheerful look. This one was sooo tricky though! The application was simple, but finding the correct eye colour was so difficult and in the end I just had to make-do with something as close as I could get. I own a lot of greens, like hundreds, so I never expected to run into trouble colour-matching. The main problem was that Venus has this bold, intense colour but with no shimmer. 99% of green eyeshadows or at least in my collection are frosty, shimmery or glittery! The majority actually have quite a strong gold sheen to them, so in certain lights this made the colour totally change and look nothing like the doll. The hue itself was also hard to match because my shadows either leaned too green, too lime or too olive/khaki. Venus seems to have a combination of all three. This is one of the prettiest lips I've done for the challenge (not sure if the photo corroborates that though). I used to love these lipslicks by Pout, I have tonnes of them. I'm so pleased I found this lipstick this morning, I thought I'd lost it. It's a pale shimmery beige nude with pink flash (and was actually really difficult to photograph). I can't believe I go away for a day and MAC releases 4 collections in one day, four?! And 2 days before schedule I might add. I pretty much already have what I need from Euristocrats II and could pass on Baby Bloom and Love That Look (One-Off looks gorge though). However I may just melt into my platforms if I don't get the Graphic Garden eye palette and Summer Crop lip set from Graphic Garden, seriously! Now I may not have the details of todays lip correct. I think I'm wearing Beauty Rush in Slice of Heaven/Piece of Cake (it changed names), however the shade name is not on the tube and I have at least a dozen of these glosses, so could be getting muddled. Isn't that really stupid, not putting the name on the actual tube? Anyway, it's scrummy, tastes and smells so good and after getting this one I was addicted to swapping for any shade I could get my hands on! Sorry it's very late, been a hell of a day today. Wearing Kiss Cashmere lipliner with Guerlain Kiss Kiss Laque in 761 Fabulous Rose. I love these glosses. They are very pigmented, rich shades and feel more like a liquid lipstick than gloss. They are super shiny and I love the scent.

So, I kind of cheated today...only slightly. This morning I put on Delovely Butter Shine, as in the previous post, thinking I wasn't going to wear any makeup. Then Mum said we would go out for lunch and a walk, so I did put makeup on. Delovely didn't really go with the rest of my face, so I put on this instead. Technically it isn't a cheat, if I decide to make 2 posts in the same day, is it? Anyway, you really have to try these lipsticks. I think I got this free in a magazine a while back and thought the dark pink colour wasn't really something I'd wear. However it's really sheer and glossy, so it provides this gorgeous hint of pink with oodles of shine. I have a few pics of my full makeup which I'll hopefully post tomorrow. Today I really wanted to wear Creme d'Nude lipstick, but decided against it so early in the game (what if I need it for a special occassion later in the year?). So instead I chose, Bourjois Docteur Glamour lipstick in 17 Rose Requinque, with Kiss Australia Cashmere lip liner. Actually I'm really pleased I did, as it's uber pretty, don't you think?
