Monster High Monday: Toralei Stripe

Image
Did you miss Monster High Monday? Well, it's back! I've missed it, although it was all a bit alien to me when I started yesterday. Day to day my makeup has become much the same and I think part of that has been down to the more complex looks I do on MHM's. It takes so much effort, that I just want something simple and quick for the rest of the week. It was nice to wear some different colours though and to try and find something that works with my new hair colour too (a full post with details of that coming soon). It's probably surprising then, that I chose this doll as her colouring and clothes are much different to mine. However her makeup is something I hoped would work on me, without orange skin and stripes! She is Toralei Stripe, the very catty kitty who as my nephews would say "is the baddie" of Monster High! I can't help but find her adorably cute despite her conflicts with my other girls. She has shaded skin; more orange on one side of her...

PHP's Beloved Beauty Bits (May/June)

Image
My Beloved Beauty Bits took a bit of a break during May, because I felt I didn't have enough items for a post. I found I've been using a lot of the same things and doing the same looks (makeup wise) for two months, hence the lack of products (especially those I haven't already reviewed). So I've combined this post for May and June. The July one I can already tell will be bursting , as I've bought and tried lots of new products. It just shows how I can go through phases. I apologise that this one is coming so late in the month, but I've just been feeling totally unmotivated lately. I have half written posts and so many photos I've taken (so I've done all the hard work), there's just something stopping me getting on with it. Completely procrastinating! Anyway here we go. Three products in this post have actually been my favourites to achieve the one look. You may have noticed that almost every single day for the past two months (and even this ...

Haul & Swatches: ArtDeco & Lucky Dip Sample Bag

Image
It's funny, I've got this massive beauty haul that keeps getting relegated to the bottom of my to-do list. It's not that it's a boring post, quite the opposite actually, but the thought of having to edit so many pictures is rather daunting! So this mini haul has now overtaken the big one as priority! Now, I've mentioned before that if you're looking for something inexpensive to help qualify for an offer on the Debenhams site, then ArtDeco eyeshadows are a pretty good idea. I did just that, last week for this little haul. As the eyeshadows come in basic packaging (you can separately buy the empty compact to store the shadows in), they are pretty cheap to purchase alone. This in no way reflects on the quality though. I now own four of the pearl formula shadows and none have disappointed me, they are just a joy to use and the colours are beautiful. When it comes to eyeshadows I'm a huge smokey eye lover, but I usually gravitate towards bright and c...

Beauty Haul, GWP & Swatches (Lancome, Clarins, ArtDeco)

Image
Ok, this is quite the haul! I have GWP's, swatches and even comparison swatches, so there's a lot to get through and I'll get stuck in right away. Last month I got a mailer to let me know Lancome were having a gift with purchase offer at Debenhams  (the offer has just ended). I can't resist a good ol' GWP, but even better when I actually need a couple of things anyway. Plus I waited until they had 10% off too, b,b,b,bonus!  I say 'waited', I mean I didn't actually have any money until that moment, so struck lucky!  (I think) I'm on my last tube of Baume Eclat cleanser and was starting to reach panic-stations at that, plus I was desperately trying to squeeze the last drops out of my Teint Miracle foundation which I've been using non-stop in recent weeks and didn't fancy the thought of living without that either. So Mum and I popped through to Debenhams because I'd noticed the cleanser wasn't available online...this had me a littl...
