Monster High Monday: Roller Maze Clawdeen

Image
Long time, no Monster High Monday huh? I've just not had time for it recently as it's so very time consuming finding dupes and applying them in a way you wouldn't normally, so it's not something you can do quickly. It's back though and I thought I'd ease myself in, with something relatively simple. I have to add my attempt was a little half hearted and I was lucky it turned out as well as it did, because my head was elsewhere, spacey girl! Anyway it's glitter galore, which was rather scratchy to take off last night!  Oh and we've got a little post-Halloween effect to the photos this week! Clawdeen Wolf is one who often changes her hair colour, which is rather lovely. For the Roller Maze line everyone had a flash of lime green in their outfit or hair and makeup, so the gorgeous lilac hair (seriously loving that hue) has lime streaks and on the lids, you'll hopefully just be able to see green before the gold and glitter. Her lips are a shade o...

Monster High Monday: Roller Maze Lagoona

Image
Sorry this post comes a little late, but it's well worth waiting for. Last week, I had a lot of issues colour matching Howleen , even although the look I was replicating was supposedly 'no-fuss' neutrals. I didn't like the finished look and I didn't even enjoy the application. So this week, I picked a doll that to be honest, I've been avoiding since I purchased her. Why? Well she's wearing lime green eyeshadow, bordering on neon and lots of it! That's never going to work on me surely? To make matters worse, the lime is then mixed with green (eww at the colour clash) and bold pink lips. On the doll, it looks fabulous though, but that's because it's Lagoona and she's ridiculously pretty and could pull off anything! After my failed attempt at neutrals, I'd definitely lost a bit of confidence in my makeup artistry skillz (!) and I felt I was destined to look ridiculous. Clown ridiculous. To say this is the antithesis of Howleen last w...

PHP's Beloved Beauty Bits (January)

Image
There will be no 'Monster High Monday' this week as I was late getting up and showered today, so won't be going out! I have for you though, January's 'Beloved Beauty Bits'. I struggled a little bit as I'd been using the Rimmel mascara (which I liked but didn't love) and trialling the 'mystery' foundation (again I liked but didn't love), so I haven't used any other mascara/foundation for the past month. Plus I think I must be sticking with products that have been BBB before, so there's not many 'new' products to feature. That said, I do have a small selection of items that I've really loved using over the past few weeks. Best one first, which is this Good Glowing powder blush (pictured above and below). Before you all fall head over heels for it, I'll warn you it is by a US brand, Mark (like Avon) and I think the Good Glowing blushes are discontinued now and this was possibly a limited edition shade at the ...
