The Giant Shoe Clearance

I'm so sorry for the disappearing act this past week or so. Time has just got away from me every single day and last week I was super busy trying to tackle the multi-pile shoe mountain that has developed over the past few months in my bedroom! It's no small task, but I'm desperate for both space and money; so the time came to sell as much as I could.
I always find it difficult to let go of my belongings and try to do so before I become too 'attached'. I still struggled immensely with this lot though!  I've sold sooo much over the past couple of years, that I'm really down to the items I love and treasure. Anyway, last week I snapped away, took measurements and listed as much as I could fit into one day! There are tonnes of shoes, a couple of handbags and some cosmetics, all ending tomorrow (Sunday). You could snap up some brand new Irregular Choice shoes including the gorgeous So-Yeon Sarah platforms, the red glitter shoes that still remain one of the most 'googled' pairs from The Shoe Girl Diaries, some pretty rare 'chess' heeled Michael Lewis slingbacks, PPQ for Office striped bow platforms, Miu Miu inspired daisy boots, gorgeous green wedges by Terry de Havilland and even my Jeffrey Campbell Night Walk! Yes I so struggled to part with many of those!

Bye Bye Shoes

I've been regularly selling on eBay over the past couple of years and although I don't find the experience 100% positive (I'm not a fan of the fees both eBay and Paypal take off (it usually means you don't make a profit) and buyers can really muck you around and as a seller there's not all that much you can do about it), however I do enjoy it...well maybe that's not the correct term. It 'works for me', most of the time. As you know, I buy a lot of shoes, more than the average person and my tastes can change, so it's a great opportunity for me to make a little money on items that would usually be chucked in a bag and given to the charity shop. It's not that I don't like giving it to charity, but I would feel really guilty giving away shoes that had been barely or not worn at all, which the shop would more than likely completely under-value. I still regularly make donations to local charity shops and anything that is too worn simply goes in the bin. I see some hideous looking shoes on eBay that I personally would've chucked!
At first obviously, I found it easy to gather together possible shoes for selling, but lately I've been really struggling. I'm down to those shoes I really like and because I have so many, it's not always easy to discard a pair purely because you've only worn them twice in a year. I'm absolutely at or actually beyond my maximum storage capacity for shoes though, so it's imperative I whittle down my collection once more. I spent this weekend, listing loads of new pairs and the auctions finish this Sunday. I would've put up more if I'd had the time, but this is certainly a good starting point for reducing my stash. It was actually really difficult to gather possible pairs together, I was trying to be strict but my head is always telling me one thing and my heart another! Several pairs have never been worn for various reasons, they either don't fit me all that well or I've never found the right outfit for them. I must say I felt like I was selling my soul with certain pairs, but I can't justify keeping a pair "just to look at".
There's several pairs from Irregular Choice. The Grace Lace (above) I'm re-listing due to non-payment, the Blythe Emi pair I must've considered selling for months and months, but each time I reconsider. They've never been worn though (plus I have other Blythe pairs), so it's silly isn't it? Too late to change my mind now though because they already have a bid in! The orange Audrina I bought ages ago and yet again have never worn, the black croc Florence lace-ups I like but rarely wear.
Then we have the Red or Dead Ettore ankle boots (below) which I've lusted after since they first came out. I finally got my hands on a pair last week (it wasn't easy) and they don't fit! I can only get the zip up halfway on one foot, but fully on the other. I'm gutted, totally gutted that they have to go but they cost a lot of money and what was I going to do? Stroke them and hope my feet shrink? I'm still searching and hoping for a bigger size.
There's loads of other pairs too, so I'll leave you with pics and you can find all my listings here. I ship everywhere and anywhere and the shoes are mostly 5/38's or 6/39's.
What about you, do you use eBay for selling unwanted items? Or do you prefer to buy rather than sell?

Shopping Loot!

Very quick post with rushed pictures, but I couldn't wait to show you what I purchased today. Popped into Primark expecting to buy nothing and came out with 6 dresses and a brooch. I forgot it was still Easter holidays and it was mayhem in there, with screaming kids-I could've slapped them all! I didn't even bother trying anything on, but thankfully everything fits. I bought this lace dress in grey a while ago and it's so comfortable and cute-I really, really love it. They had peach, pale duck-egg blue and lemon, all ultra pretty and girly, so I got them all. I'm arguing that my hair looks stupid with it, because it's all summery and then wintery on my head, anyway....This floral dress has a really large bow on the waist and I'm nutty about bows. It is fully lined with a net underskirt too. It's slightly more formal. It's tight around my bust unfortunately and I don't even think cutting the lining would allow me to breathe easier, but for £15 or whatever it was, it's not going back. I've gathered quite a few 'I'll slim into them' dresses by now, but maybe one day! These floral tea dresses are flimsier with really nipped in waists which is fabulous for me because my waist is tiny in comparison to the rest of my body. There are cute little sections of black lace on them and they have a very low cut neckline-so a vest or top will be needed underneath.I also got this lizard brooch for £2!I used my Beauty Reward points in Debenhams to get this Lancome Juicy Tube (123 Dot Apricot) for free. I'll swatch it later in the week. It's smaller than the usual size and is to celebrate 10 years of the JT's (exclusive to Debenhams btw). I also got the Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties GWP I was talking about earlier in the week from there and Boots. My sister and I want the full set of Cuties and we now have one full set and 'Love', so four more to go! I also got a couple of 17 pastel coloured nail polishes from Boots which I forgot to photograph.I also managed to miss 2 parcels today which is annoying, especially as the posty watched us leave the house and didn't stop and say 'hey I have parcels for you!'. I got my Shoemissy shoes before I left this morning though and some Mawi earrings I've been eyeing for forever from ASOS arrived later-mega cute. I'll try and take better pics later. I also got a phonecall about my Cloggs order, so I'm hopefully getting the Love Games shoes (yipee). Toodle Loo are still out of stock, so I've asked for the mushroom courts instead. Bit strange as it's the opposite on the site (TL in stock, LG out of stock), so I'm not entirely convinced I'm getting the correct pairs until I see them-can't wait! It was very nice of them to phone and arrange that for me though.
