LOTD Challenge Day 27
A very quick one today as I got an unexpected visit from my little nephews and that stopped any plans of doing something constructive today! This gloss is a sweet yellow shade in the tube, but is essentially clear with some fine shimmer. We'll forgive the lack of colour as the illustration on the tube is so pretty I smell like 'banans' so says a 2 and a half year old boy ; )Lancome Juicy Tubes (World Tour Edition) Rio 104 Banana Ipanema

Ah-May-Zing Faith Laccey!
(In sing-songy voice) Look what arrived yesterday.....my new Faith Laccey boots! I'm so excited, I'm squealing! Aren't they pretty? Well, maybe they are too tough to be pretty, what's a good name for a tough/pretty? Rugged? Don't they look rugged? Lol, I don't know how I'll stop myself from wearing these everyday in The Shoe Girl Diaries, ahh, so difficult! They are lighter in real life (than in the Faith pic) and the platform is much bigger than I expected. I'm really pleased that Faith are revamping their site and will be including 360 degree views of their shoes, which is so important when purchasing online. At the moment their pictures/info can be quite poor and I'm often surprised by what some items look like in real life after seeing them online. Anyway, let's continue to marvel at how amazing my shoes are...!

Ruffles in Red
A couple of days ago, I noticed Matalan put my much loved ruffle shoes (£18) on their site...in a new colour! I've told anyone who'll listen that I want these in every possible shade (already got orange, black and purple), but I hesitated with ordering them right away. They were red and as much as I have a weakness for red, shiny shoes or handbags (my Mum's the same), with pink hair I can't really wear that colour these days. I'm not planning a trip to Matalan anytime soon so I don't know how red or pinky they are in real life (I'm hoping the latter). The shoes disappeared from the site yesterday (all sizes were there in the morning, then gone by later in the day), so in the words of One Republic, 'it's too late' anyway. Hopefully next time I'm through they'll have them (they never got the purple though) and I'll be able to see for myself.
They also have a few new pairs of autumn shoes. Lace up shoe-boots with bronze piping £18 and buckle, peep toe ankle boots £18.

80's Lace at DP's
This dress is 80's-tastic, but I kinda like it. Is that wrong? Ok, so I'm maybe not entirely convinced on the mustard colour, but the tulip shaped skirt, frilled waist and lace panels are kinda cute. Definitely not the type of dress I'd expect to see in Dorothy Perkins, £50. All together now, 'Like a virgin, whoo, touched for the very first time...'

FOTD Saturday 8th August
Most of these pictures came out speckled when I resized them, so I either had to delete them or blur them a bit (you may have to squint!). This was the Pout lipslick LOTD and Milani Luminous blush. For eyes, I used Social Climber all over the lid and up to the brow (it has a pink sheen to it), then Linear Lilac over the lid to the crease, where I used Straight Hedge-all from the new MAC Graphic Garden palette. With L'Oreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss and The Body Shop Super Volume mascara. I sneezed mid photo-taking (below), that's not me laughing! Normally I'd wear a necklace, but I was going to my dress fitting and didn't want any unnecessary bits and bobs.

Haul Pics C2000, GOSH, NYC
Here are the last of my haul pics from last week. I did indeed forget to photograph Lancome La Base Pro that I bought. It's not very interesting to look at anyway. A glass bottle (sure it would've been cheaper had that been plastic). Anyway it's £24.50 and I used my Advantage Card points, so technically it was free (yay).
Collection 2000 Hot Looks nail polishes were 2 for £2.99 in Superdrug and 2 for £3 in Boots (or that could be the other way around). These little babies were the main point of my shopping trip. Superdrug only had 2 colours left, so I got them both. Boots had loads, so I swithered between them all, then bought another 4. I wanted to compare the mint green one to Barry M, but they were out of stock of that and I had a funny feeling they were very similar. When I got them home, I was right, there isn't a huge difference. C2000 is perhaps more bluey, of course they may look different on the nail. The greys on the other hand, C2000 is much lighter (which I thought instore, hence why I bought it). Phew! They have the cutest names (30 Sherbet Lemons, 36 Ninja, 33 Button Moon, 27 Wham, 32 BMX Bandit and 35 Dynasty), currently I'm wearing BMX Bandit, which is a most unusual bluey purpley shade. I was pretty pissed when I painted my nails on Friday night then woke up on Saturday to have a shower and notice that every nail on my right hand was chipped! I didn't use top-coat but wouldn't expect it to chip overnight, in my bed! Other than that it does go on very well, I actually could've gotten away with one coat. Anyway let's sing 'we're off to Button Moon...'C2000 Glam Crystals, I think these were 'save 50p' in Boots. As I previously explained I didn't buy the new purple one as I found it very dry. 10 Pow! is the blue one with multi coloured glitter and 12 Spandex is green with green and gold glitter.This was my third and free item I think from GOSH (3 for 2). I can't tell you how many times I've tried this eyeliner instore and never bought it. Word of warning though, don't play around with it on your hand during your lunch break, it does not come off with soap and water. No, not even scrubbing. This stuff is the baddest non-mover you've ever seen (I know, I still have the swatch I took this morning!). This is a pretty shimmering, metallic green, not blue or turquoise like in the pictures. My camera did this the other day with my No7 and 17 green metallic eyeliners which I was comparing (before I'd bought this one, which will now have to be compared too!). All the pics came out blue rather than green, even in the tube. Take my word for it, it's a mermaid green, shimmering, beautiful! (swatches left to right, NYC lipstick (see below), C2000 Glam Crystals in Pow! and Spandex, GOSH Extreme Art Eye Liner in 11)
Finally the NYC lippie I forgot to photograph, Ultra Moist Lip wear in 412B Mauve Gold. I told you this was really different in the tube to swatched and it is. It's a run-of-the-mill bronzey brown, which comes out a beautiful glossy, sheer pinky brown with the cutest subtle shimmer throughout. This is a litle gem and I think it was a ridiculous £1.95 or something. (The pics of it in the tube aren't that good, but the swatch is spot-on).Sorry the pics are kinda crappy and I can't seem to stop talking!

LOTD Challenge Day 24
Having a pretty relaxed day today and just putting the finishing touches to the rest of my haul photos (can't believe it's taken a week!). I didn't realise this gloss was sparkly until I looked at the photos. I was wearing YSL Touche Brilliance but had to wipe it off because it was stinky! I'm really annoyed that it's gone off so quickly, especially as I had hardly used it. Hard Candy 10 Years of Gloss

LOTD Challenge Day 23
Todays LOTD was suggested by lovely reader VampiressDoll. It was actually quite difficult to photograph today. It's a darkish purpley mauve but only under certain lighting and my camera seemed to pick up pinky tones and prefer it lighter (which was rather annoying). So I apologize that this is as close as I could get to the real colour. It's one of my all-time favourite lipglosses.17 Perfect Pout lipliner in Morticia

Nude Lipstick + Lipgloss Haul Swatches + Pics
Ok, I know it's taken me longer than expected with this post, but it's well worth the wait. Sorry for the difference in backgrounds in the pics, I had to move around to get the best lighting for realistic colours. Although I realised when editing the pics, that I forgot to photograph the NYC lippie I bought (I'll do it later). Is it just me that gets this exciteable with nude lip colours? I love the image above!
We'll start with Boots;
Natural Collection Juicy Lips lipgloss in FondantNatural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Apple BlossomCurrently on 3 for £5 offer (my sister also got their mascara)
Revlon Matte lipstick in 001 Nude Attitude, this is actually quite pricey for a drugstore lipstick I think. £7.13, so I got it off my advantage points (free, yay!)Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Vanilla Truffle, £16.As you know I also bought other things (pics will follow next week) and got lots of points/deals for them too.
Superdrug;
GOSH Velvet Touch lipstick in 134 DarlingGOSH lipgloss in 0059currently on 3 for 2 (I also got a liquid eyeliner)
Finally my MAC Graphic Garden Summer Crop trio;
Summer Crop lipglassSemi Annual lipstick (lustre)Garden Bed lipstick (lustre) Here's my opinion on the lipstick swatches, Revlon a matte orangey peach (you can see a pink flash very clearly in the tube), although it didn't show when swatched. Apple Blossom quite similar to the GOSH lipstick, but a brighter peach. Estee Lauder a heavier peachy brown, Semi Annual slightly more beige than GOSH, sheer, so buildable colour. GOSH Darling, I think this is the prettiest a soft pale peach colour (perfect J-Lo lips) and Garden Bed is the most brown with a lovely shimmer, not as sheer as some lustres can be.
Lipgloss swatches, Summer Crop is so pretty, with subtle but intense multi-coloured glitter (pics definitely don't do it justice), Fondant is a bright pink peach (looks like a gold sheen in the above swatch, but it didn't have this in real life) and GOSH is a nude-ish brown, very glossy and sheer.
Swatches and product line-up shown in same order (either left to right or top to bottom) Revlon to MAC Garden Bed. Please do not steal these images, they took me forever-I'll be mad! Click to enlarge and go out and buy all of these!
