Flashback Beauty Friday is a nostalgic look back at old limited edition or discontinued beauty products, to appreciate their packaging and have a little reminisce. Last week I shared a small selection of my specially designed LancĂ´me Juicy Tubes collection by Christopher Kane. Today I have a MAC blusher from one of their Disney releases.

I initially didn't feel like this was 'old' enough to show you, but the Venomous Villains range launched in Autumn 2010. In my head that was a few years ago, not over a decade! The range was split into four colour stories representing different evil characters from Disney animations. Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians), Dr Facilier (The Princess & The Frog), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty) and The Evil Queen from Snow White, who I have to show you today.

I bought several pieces from this line up, but rather than it turn into a review haul post, I thought I'd just stick with one item (plus, I'm guaranteed to forget one thing and get annoyed with myself for it). This is the Powder Blush in Bite Of An Apple. I love the name and I love the blush even more. It's without a doubt in my top favourite blushes and I own a massive amount of cheek colours!

My picture below isn't wildly accurate when it comes to the colour, but to me it's an orange red, though a lot refer to it as coral. It's darker, but brighter than most of my coral blushes. It's matte and I just really love a strong cheek colour, so reach for this a lot.

The boxes had original artwork of each character etched into the black background and products had a shiny black base with coloured images of the character. The blushes come with clear inserts in the lid, I also have the beauty powder and it's a completely black lid (with the character still on top). My sister actually got me postcards from the MAC counter in Glasgow at the time (of each character), I remember being so excited because I bought so much MAC and never got any freebies online! I'm not quite sure where they are or else I'd have used them in the background. I'll maybe come across them and will use them when I show you something else from the range.

Speaking of, I'm trying to better organise my makeup; it's not terrible but there's odd bits scattered about and because of the volume of stuff I have, I can't keep everything in one place. I have a million bags and boxes with different bits in...organised chaos I call it! Lately though, I'm making more and more new hiding places and I'm starting to lose track of what's where, which is why I'm wanting to go through it all. The other collections (shoes, bags, clothes etc) really don't help! Anyway, hope you enjoyed this post, do you remember this collection?

    1. I think I've only ever bought 1 MAC nail polish and I can't remember what collection it was from off the top of my head, it was sparkly, dark and a nightmare to remove!

  2. I remember when I used to have lots of makeup. There are lots of things hanging around in drawers that I should probably use or chuck!

    1. Yep, I think this is going to be good for me to throw out stuff but also decide if there are some things I just want to keep to look at but not use.
