Lancome Butterflies Fever blush powder
I hope you enjoyed my post last week, which was a little history of the Dior Addict lip gloss packaging and the small changes they've made over the years. Today, I'm going back 11 years, to a limited edition piece. One of those "too pretty to use" types!
silver box with black writing saying Lancome Butterflies Fever blusher
This is the Butterflies Fever, Healthy Glow Mineral Blusher in 01 Glowy Ballerine from the Lancôme Spring 2011, Ultra Lavande collection.

Housed in the regular shiny black compact with a small brush and full size mirror inside; the beautiful pan is what we're interested in!

The base is a soft and pale peachy pink with this bow, rose and butterfly embossing in pink, pale lilac and metallic violet.

There's a strong but sporadic glitter overlay across the whole powder.

Obviously I've never used this, it's one of those collector pieces, I just want to keep as is. However I blogged at the time, that apparently this was a sheer but buildable blush and the box says "an extremely soft, satin texture". I'll take their word for it!  The violet nail polish from this collection haunts me to this day. It was sold out from my local counters, so I never got it and have never found a dupe since.  It crosses my mind quite often.  Do you remember this lavender themed collection?
