Festive Beauty 2022: Day 10

Every day up until Christmas, I'll be blogging past and present limited edition beauty releases from 'Holiday' collections. Yesterday I shared LancĂ´me's gold lipstick from 2019 and I'm on a similar colour scheme today. Remember to check the bottom of the post for a discount code or free gift offer and also see The Shoe Girl Diaries, where I'm sharing Irregular Choice Christmas shoes from my collection.
We're heading way back to 2009 today and this is the No7 Opulence Highlighter. Information from that time is usually pretty scarce, but I do have the always badly punctuated blurb on the back of the box and compact to tell us more about the inspiration behind this highlighting powder. Here goes!

Richly textured and striking this is a look not to be missed and that can't be ignored. A modern, metallic gold that takes influence from Russian Tsarinas and 80s glamour the look is about stand out beauty. Shimmering and alluring, sculpt and define your features to smouldering perfection........you can't be ignored in this make-up it has a power all of its own.

Be on centre stage and steal the scene.

Directions For Use
Versatile as well as eye-catching this palette is to be used across the face, neck or décolletage.
You're a better person than me if you followed any of that. Their punctuation has long baffled me in Flashback Beauty Friday posts! Anyway, the mirrored gold compact is square, surprisingly cheap feeling to be honest, with a mirror inside. The pattern on the lid is definitely a nod to that 80's vibe they talked about.
Inside, the powder has a similar embossed pattern to the lid. Mainly this rich gold colour but with accents of silver and bright pink. Everything looks very shimmery and metallic, but I think it's overspray and a flimsy one at that. I'm sure I haven't used this, but can you see the little silver bits around the edges? It's either migrated from the silver circle or the gold has worn away with that underneath. I don't know, but it's not aged well. I did do a quick search and found a review that said the same thing, that if you breathe near it, it's ruined!
FREE Estee Lauder Perfect Your Party Look Duo (worth £59), when you spend £55 on the brand.  Will add to basket if in stock, while stocks last.
