Festive Beauty 2022: Day 12

I'm blogging limited edition, Holiday releases every day until Christmas. Yesterday I shared the MAC lipstick set from 2019's Starring You collection and today I have a brand I don't usually buy from. This is the Les Chaines D'Or de Chanel collection by Chanel from 2020. Like I say, Chanel is a brand I've bought very little from, but whenever I saw this beautiful embossing on the powders, I had to have it. I bought the blush powder, an eyeshadow and also a lipstick.

The Les Chaines Des Chanel Illuminating Blush Powder was the star of the collection. The chain embossing and double C logo are stunning in the round pan. The shade of blush is also very pretty, an unusual rust colour and as you'll see in my swatch later, it's sheer but the colour can be built up. It's not as scary as it may look to some in the pan.

Of the four eyeshadows, I got Ombre Premiere, Longwear Powder Eyeshadow in 926 Or Blanc. I thought the colour was really unusual, it's not quite ivory or white or silver, but a mix of them all with a very, very light olive green tint to it. It has the same embossing as the bigger powder. The pattern stays reasonably well, for swatches they didn't get ruined at all.

Then I picked one of the lipsticks, Rouge Allure, Luminous Intense Lip Colour in 107 Or Beige. It looked like a nice warm nude with sporadic gold sparkle (you can see it in the close-up). Sadly, on my lips, it's very orange, it's so disappointing as I hate orange. It looks a lot prettier in my swatch today than it does on me. I love the RA cases, they are like Lancôme's with the press and pop feature, though the lipstick sits upside down in it.

The swatches from left to right are the lipstick, blush then eyeshadow, all on bare skin, swiped several times with no edits to the photos.
