Floral Trousers

I'm not a trouser kinda girl. Infact for the past 3 years or so, I have never worn or owned a pair of jeans or trousers (aside from leggings). I'm pretty much strictly a dress person. So it's surprised me that for the past couple of weeks, since I first spotted these on ASOS, I've been totally lemming them. I think they are utterly gorgeous. You know I love florals, so perhaps it's the beautiful prints that are drawing me in. I can see how I would style them, but I'm just not sure I'd suit them or that they are totally 'me'. Would they really work on a very curvy girl? Or would I look like a giant floral, pyjama wearing mess?
I've been after some peg leg trousers for a couple of years now, to wear with heels (of course), I just love that effortless cool. However I'm no slave to fashion, if it doesn't suit me, I wouldn't wear it. I'm just not sure I'd be comfortable in something so exposed and not in a flesh baring kind of way, but they would really work best with a top tucked in and my stomach is my biggest (literally) problem at the moment. Also the top pair (£35) are silk, quite see through and lightweight, so not the most forgiving. The pink pair (£30) seem more durable, although I adore the print on the other pair more. I could always order them and send them back as I get free returns and free delivery. What do you think?

  1. hmm, id go for the top pair, isnt that the same print as the gorgeous dress you posted a while back?
    back to the subject!
being a curvy girl too, id go for the top pair perhaps with a black tee, untucked because i dont like the potato sack look on myself!
a black floaty cardi and i might even tuck the trousers into some long black boots to tone it down a tad. xx

  2. Ooh a black, floaty cardi sounds nice. Good memory about the dress, shame it sold out in my size, I still totally want it.
