Festive Beauty: Day 9

Quick post tonight as I'm in the midst of working on another (longer) post for the blog as well as my usual Irregular Choice Festive Footwear over on The Shoe Girl Diaries. Who is this 3 blogs a day person? Actually by last month I'd noticed I'd blogged here more in 2021 than I had in 2020 and 2019 together! This is the Lancôme Ombre Hypnose Ultra in 17 Nuit Grenat from their 2017 collection.

There were 4 shades available, all limited edition, ultra-pigmented colours for a shimmering and smoky seasonal look. The finish of the pan is just stunning. I tried to tilt to catch every change in the light.

I definitely agree with their statement about the finish. This is one swipe, so will only intensify with more layers, but it's such an unusual formula. The glitter particles look like they're suspended in the smokier shadow, but they feel totally smooth and the base is ultra smoky. I haven't thought to try this wet before, but now I'm keen to, to see if there's more of a metallic sheen to it that way. It's stunning, as is the outer compact in that bright smooth glitter finish.
