Festive Beauty: Day 21

A mammoth post to get through today (almost 70 photos), so it's taken ages to compile it all. I wanted to group them together though as they're all from the same collection.  My previous Festive Beauty post was the Dior highlighter from their 2013 Golden Winter collection and my Irregular Choice Festive Footwear post will be up later. As usual, check the bottom of the post for a little treat.
Everything in this post is from the 2019 Too Faced Holiday Collection, which was gingerbread inspired. There were a couple of things I didn't get, but otherwise I really splurged as I fell in love with this whole range. Some bits were easier to find than others and you can see my earlier Festive Beauty post for a closer look at the Melted Mattes I own. Let's begin with the Kissable Body Shimmer. This is a 20g loose powder in a huge card box with the most adorable, sparkling gingerbread imagery. Inside is a large pink fluffy puff with gingerbread print ribbon and although I've used this powder, I refuse to dirty this cute applicator! Even once you lift the sticker inside, the holes for the powder are in a gingerbread girl shape, it's so cute.
The back reads "Look and taste more tempting than a fresh-baked batch of gingerbread cookies with this sparkling body powder that veils your skin in an all-over gingerbread-flavored sexy glow." It has a lovely sparkling shimmer to it when swatched.  It's actually a little tricky for me to wear, as it's quite orange, definitely not a highlighter for me.  Even once blended, you can see where the powder is and isn't as there's an orangey tone to the skin.  I'm never tanned, so it's always going to look like that on me and my chest and neck are probably a touch lighter than my face too which doesn't help.  I try and buff and blend with a big brush as much as I can. It does have a noticeable scent to it, even just taking the lid off the container.
Then we have the Gingerbread Bronzed & Kissed, Bronzer & Lipstick Set. This was exclusive to Debenhams in the UK (sob) and I had quite a bit of trouble getting it after it sold out. I stalked it like crazy and eventually one appeared back online. You'll have seen the gingerbread man shaped makeup bag in the background of my Melted Mattes post.  This is why I went crazy for this collection, it's all so cute, I just can't resist it. The box reads "Run, run, as fast as you can for the Gingerbread man set of your dreams! Featuring a limited edition Gingerbread Tan Bronzer and never-before-seen Peach Kiss Matte Lipstick in our iconic Gingerbread Man shade that both smell like your favorite Christmas cookie, all stuffed inside a gingerbread man makeup bag."
The Gingerbread Tan, Spicy Bronzer compact is just so adorable.  The gingerbread men are actually raised and the powder also has an embossed gingerbread man in the centre.  I doubt I'll ever use this, it's very deep and would likely only work on me as a contour, so I'd rather keep it as a collectors piece.
The Peach Kiss Lipstick in Gingerbread Man has a matte finish and again the packaging is stunning.  It's a really weighty case with Too Faced raised on the side and the gingerbread man print all over. The actual lipstick has engraved peaches as PK lippies do and you can definitely smell the gingerbread scent when you take the lid off.
It's a thick formula, buildable, but opaque pretty quickly.  I've compared it to it's liquid version, the Melted Matte in Gingerbread Man (right swatch).  They're not an exact match, the stick version is a touch brighter and more orangey with the liquid leaning more brown toned, but it's very slight (and the MM hadn't completely dried down here yet).
Then I figured I may as well pull out all my Melted Mattes to compare once more, but like I say, I spoke in greater detail about them in a previous post.
The Let It Snow, Girl! Limited Edition Makeup Collection contains 3 breakaway palettes that magnetically attach together to create a cute snowgirl but can easily be stored and used separately.
The head consists of 2 face products; Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and Angels Wings Highlighter.
The smaller body palette contains 4 powder blushes; Snow Kissed, Pink Christmas, Christmas Dreams and Merry & Bright. They are highly pigmented (I've used Merry & Bright a lot and need a very light hand).
The larger body palette houses 19 small eyeshadows in multiple finishes. They have the most adorable names and my eye is immediately drawn to the "Cadbury purple" Sugar Show, silver foiled glitter Snow Glowbe, green Treat Yo' Elf and the teal metallic Blissmas. I haven't had the chance to use these eyeshadows because I've (understandably) barely worn makeup in the last 2 years.
The palettes all smell like "fresh baked sugar cookies" and I love how it's presented in the box like a baking tray. The palettes swivel open with padded lids and even the backs are printed (especially love the hair on the head palette). The set also comes with a deluxe Better Than Sex Mascara in limited edition candy cane packaging.
The Christmas Cookie House Party, Limited Edition Makeup Collection was another set I had real trouble finding. I tracked one down to John Lewis in Edinburgh and sent my parents on a mission. Unfortunately the stock checker was wrong and they didn't have any. They told me I had to get one quick as they get sent back after the sale and after checking for me, found somewhere with loads, so I was to use the online form to get them to send one out to me. I did and they never got back to me, but one day by luck Debenhams had one, so I found it myself! The palettes smell like fresh-made gingerbread and again there's 3 break-away palettes, this time in the shape of a gingerbread house.
The roof is a face palette with Get Frosted Highlighter, Daydreamer Blush and Extra Toasty Bronzer.
The main part of the house contains 20 exclusive eyeshadows in a variety of finishes. Once more, the names are brilliant; I Love Yule, What A Batch, Nooks & Cranberries and Drink Up, Grinches to name a few.
Then there's a smaller eyeshadow palette with 6 exclusive shades. The matte On A Roll and Can't Catch Me, alongside 4 amazing looking chunky glitters.  Why 'All My Wishes' wasn't called something to do with mincemeat pies is beyond me, it looks good enough to eat!
The set also came with a deluxe Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Gingerbread Man, travel size Better Than Sex Mascara and Deluxe Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer.
Aren't they all amazing sets and packaging?  Well done if you made it this far, your treat today is unlimited next/nominated day delivery or whatever suits for every order for a whole year at Beauty Bay, currently with 20% off, for just £7.95.  No code required, price as marked, ends soon.
