Festive Beauty: Day 17

I'm back with another Festive Beauty post, sorry for the long gap, I've been exhausted and needed a break. I've also been getting very frustrated as we haven't had daylight at all this week, not even an hour, so I can't take any photos. Anyway, my limited edition pieces today date back to 2010 and as always read to the bottom for an online treat. My Irregular Choice Festive Footwear post will be up later, but I did post a new one this morning of the original Santa heels (I was a day behind on there).

This is the No7 Mirrorball Collection from 2010. I'm going to link to my original haul post when I bought them, so you can see them unswatched.

I'll start with the Mirrorball Highlighter, which originally had a very sparkly overlay that you can see in that original post. The textured surface is shaped like a disco ball with pink in the centre and white either side and I've always just swirled my brush across both shades.

The back of the box reads "Softly textured and divinely light this stunning highlighter captures the magical beauty of a classic mirrorball. Made to reflect the playful dancing light of a mirrorball, sweeps of eye-catching soft silver and hushed pink are ideal to sculpt and define your features to radiant beauty. Versatile as well as eye-catching this palette is to be used across the face, neck or décolletage."

Then there's the Mirrorball Lipstick in Pink. This came in a slimmer case than usual No7 lipsticks with a swirling pattern on the lid. The lipstick has a very thin consistency and applies very sheer, but can be built up somewhat. It's got a high shine finish and lots of micro shimmers.

I've swatched both. Next to the lipstick is the pink shade of highlighter with the white closest to my wrist. I really had to layer the powder swatches, it's so close in colour to my skin, it barely shows up and doesn't have a wild sheen or sparkle to it. The lipstick smells so bad, it's going in the bin straight after this, I was almost gagging swatching it 🤮😆
