Patricia Field Clutch Agony

So I went online last night at midnight to see the Patricia Field range at M&S. I fell in love with the clutch, totally up my street. Leopard print, bright colours, illustration of a Patricia Field lookalike, quite big....but I didn't have any money. I was gutted. I hadn't expected to see anything that I'd want there and then. I also liked the scarves, one covered in shoes, the other in a print to match the clutch. I tend to wear a scarf in my hair, so would get a lot of use out of them. I know it's my own fault for spending what little I had left these past few days, but I'd forgotten that I may need to keep some for this range. My Mum started spouting about 'leaving something for Christmas', I answered back with 'it's Limited Edition, it's not going to be there at Christmas' and of course I'm right, it sold out and has been removed from the site before I even got up this morning. I actually had enough money in the bank for the clutch, just not enough for postage too, which sucks even more. I'm totally gutted...and sulking and pouting like a 4 year old : (

I quite liked these gloves too (also in red), although I have a ton of little gloves for winter, so honestly wouldn't need them.

Pat Field 4 Markies

Yes, M&S have joined forces with stylist Patricia Field and the much anticipated collection will launch tonight at midnight. I've seen some images in the press of the collection and while it looks nice enough, I don't think there will be anything I'll buy. Some pieces are very much like they've just come straight off the Sex & The City Movie and I personally wouldn't want to look exactly like Carrie months and months after the movie has come out. I think it's better to put your own stamp on things and let your personality shine through in what you wear. I don't think you'd be able to do that with these pieces as some are very strong and so SATC-esque. Having said that, I am excited about the launch and will probably log on tonight to check and see if there is anything I like. There are some backstage videos and interviews with Patricia on the Marks and Spencer website, so be sure to check them out.

Perky Peep Toe Boot from Matalan

I spotted these lovely peep-toe boots (£14) in the Matalan catalogue that my Mum gets. They are up on the Matalan site now (although you can't buy online), so hopefully that means they are already instore. I really, really want them. Although my Mum would say I already own more peep-toe boots than one would ever need (she doesn't understand why boots should be toeless), I'm going to argue the case of these little beauties. I'm definitely skating on thin ice as far as buying more shoes is concerned, I've been threatened with eviction from my family more than once (oops!). So I think I need to get rid of several pairs (and make a fuss to anyone who'll notice "oh look that's 10 pairs I've got rid of"), so that I can buy more. Oh, the sneaky life of a shoe addict!

*edit* I decided I couldn't wait any longer for these and hot footed it off to my local Matalan this afternoon. After looking around the entire shop for the shoe department (which has moved), it's now at the front door (wasn't looking there!), I couldn't see them. There is a serious lack of footwear, only half of their usual stock. I then managed to find one random pair of these boots in a size 7 (I'm a 5). I can't believe I've travelled all that way and they don't even have them. I'm unsure whether there is only this one pair left or if they haven't properly put out new stock (perhaps this was a return from another store-it wasn't even tagged properly). Can anyone shed any light? I do hope I haven't missed out on them.

Boots Christmas Catalogue

Yes, our poor summer is just over and it's getting colder and darker so shops are already putting up Christmas trees and lights and selling decorations and advent calendars! I can't complain really, as I love Christmas and the run up to it is usually more enjoyable than the day itself if I'm honest.

Boots have started receiving stock of their Christmas gifts (the usual 3 for 2 bargain) and the Christmas catalogue is available now too. I was a little disappointed with it this year. The No7 and 17 gifts are pretty boring. I love all the Soap & Glory sets though, also the Urban Decay and Too Faced stuff (already available on the likes of ASOS) are really pretty.

There is a fabulous new No7 GWP (gift with purchase) coming soon. The book didn't specify when exactly it was released, but it's the usual 'spend £20 on No7 to qualify'. I'm really pleased that the liquid eyeliner is in there to try. I've been curious about this (especially this shade) for sometime. The little clutch is cute, the other items I'm not too bothered about.

I'll probably buy some of the Limited Edition cosmetics range to qualify for the free gift. There was a sneak peek at some of the items, so I've scanned them for you to see. An eye palette (kinda similar to the others No7 have churned out), a highlighting powder (I'm definitely getting this), a pink shimmery lipgloss, glittery pink nail polish and glitter eyeliner in silver or lavender.

No Chanel Here!

As I've told you before, over at Stardoll you can buy many designer inspired outfits for your MeDoll. While some pieces are named as 'dior pink dress', others may just say 'pink frill dress', even although it may be an exact replica of an actual Dior creation. So far designers don't seem too bothered by the cartoon world imitating real life. That was of course until...Chanel. A few weeks ago, StarPlaza filled with Chanel clothes inspired by the new Coco Chanel dress-up doll. I bought a striped vest top (which was otherwise bland apart from the double 'C' logo on the chest) and 2 quilted handbags. I rejoiced at how lucky my MeDoll was and oh how I would've loved to own the real thing.
My now (boring) un-Chanel items!

Imagine my surprise when I go into my Stardoll wardrobe yesterday to find the vest missing the 'C' logo and the Chanel bags with a plain gold ring on them!!! It seems Chanel and/or Karl Lagerfeld were unhappy at the use of the Chanel branding and to avoid a lawsuit Stardoll replaced/removed the logo. I think this is extremely bad spirited of Chanel. It's essentially a kids website, where they've actually paid money (although Stardollars aren't real currency, they are bought with real money) and they've now been cheated. Shame on you Karl, you need to lighten up and see it was merely a form of flattery. DKNY obviously work closely with Stardoll as they have their own branded shop within StarPlaza, which changes designs each season. It's a shame that the old grumps at Chanel couldn't work out something similar. To be honest the more I hear about Karl and his extreme views the less I want his quilted bag!
