[Tights and bag were provided for review consideration, this does not affect my opinion. All words and photos my own.]
Today the first two Disney Princesses collections launch at Irregular Choice. The range will visit six princesses in total, the other four to follow throughout the rest of the year. Mulan and Snow White are the princesses available from today and there are three pairs of tights altogether, all of which I have to show you in more detail. Let's start with Mulan and the Growing Up Brave Tights.
They have a pink base with blossom and large fans, mirroring other pieces in this collection. Large images of Mulan and Mushu appear on both legs. As you'll see, one leg features Mulan lower down with Mushu wrapping around the ankle of the other leg and then the opposing character sits further up again. I did find the black sections (i.e. her hair) went a little white when stretched in places, however see below for why it wasn't optimum tights trying-on conditions!
I couldn't resist pairing them with the birdcage Ava's Aviary heels. I think they are going to look awesome with the blue Be True To Who You Are boots. IC tights generally fit up to a size 16. I'm a 14-16 at the moment for reference, with a big tummy and thighs. I'll be honest and say I picked the absolute worst day to take these photos, the hottest day of the year! By the end of trying on all three pairs (shut in my shoe room with no air), I was a quivering pool on the floor! I literally peeled these tights off me. So it's hard to properly critique the fit as they were sticking to my legs (not helped by the pain relief gel I'd just applied) and I was just far too hot and bothered to adjust print placement. However having tried a lot of my other tights recently for the 365 day challenge so they're fresh in my mind, I certainly didn't find these (all three pairs) as tight as my Toy Story ones, which I've noted as being smaller than most of my mainline ones. I think I have had roomier, but they are very stretchy and on a cooler, MUCH cooler day, would go on a lot easier. I like the way the print sits anyway on this pair, Mushu and Mulan aren't supposed to be 'level' with each other (and I'm fine with that) and I think the background print is really pretty.
Next up are two pairs from Snow White, beginning with Still The Fairest Tights. These have two different legs, one with the jewelled heart and dagger print in the background with a large Evil Queen figure working up from the toes. The other leg features Snow White on an apple background. The base colour is black, so I had the same (actually worse) issues with it stretching white. However perhaps it wouldn't be quite so obvious had they not literally been stuck to my legs!
The two characters create an interesting effect at the foot with one being bright yellow and the other blue. I actually really like this bold look, it looks cool having two completely different feet. The Evil Queen does spread further up the leg than Snow White, I don't know if that might bother some people, that their faces aren't both hitting the knees. Certainly when I laid them flat above, I had to move one leg to sit level with the other character. It's also quite easy to distort the proportions of the person by stretching the leg more in one area than the other. Again on a cooler day, I'd hope to give more attention to that. I teamed them with my black I Had To for these photos, but I think they are going to be perfect with The Evil Queen shoes.
Finally, the pair you saw in the teaser earlier this week, The Seven Dwarfs Tights. Unlike the other two pairs, there's no large area of black in these, though stretching will still lighten the colour in places and somewhat distort the characters. All seven dwarfs feature on a lilac background and can you also spot the little birds? So cute! Again, had my legs been cooler, I probably could've put these on better so the characters weren't so stretched in places.
This is definitely the busiest of the three prints for me and I almost wore them with my Chuckles gnome heels, as they are quite plain. However, I then decided to wear Fantastic Fawn instead as I thought the theme fitted well with Snow White. The colours in the shoes are almost the same as the tights, so they're very well camouflaged! They go wonderfully with the Fairest In The Land Bag shown here (the reverse shown with the tights above).
None of the tights have a line where the pattern stops and starts, the print is continuous and like I say, they do all feel like they have the same fit. They are 80 denier, so very thick and not what you'd want to wear in warmer weather, I can vouch for that! Hopefully you'll be seeing these on the blog or Instagram on days that aren't so hot, so I can update on how they feel. I hope this helps you decide if you want a pair of these. Let me know what you managed to get below.

The tights all look really good and so interesting! I don't think I could bear to wear that type of tights in this hot weather though so well done to you for managing to persevere!
