After the teaser of the beautiful Be True To Who You Are Mulan boots last week, I have an even bigger reveal this time for the Irregular Choice Disney Princesses collection. We already know there will be six princesses overall, however I can tell you two will launch on 26th July and alongside Mulan, we're going way back to the original princess from 1937, beautiful Snow White. Like Mulan, this collection will feature both adult and kids styles along with bags/accessories. I have four styles to get through today, so let's get started.
I'm diving straight into a character heel. I know, it's very exciting as characters were lacking in Dumbo and Bambi last year and we've already seen that brand new rotating concept for Mulan and are treated to yet another amazing shaped heel here. Happily Ever After (so aptly named, I anticipate) are a woodland cottage ankle boot. There's loads of different materials used in the applique here, along with embroidery, embellished flowers and printed scenes from the movie. Too much to mention individually, but I'm liking the green glitter toe moving into velveteen with the large daisies and embroidered toadstools.
The boots zip up the sides and you'll note the left and right feet are slightly different to one another, like Mulan last week. The right boot features the doorway while the left has windows with the thatched roof sitting further up the leg. You'll find some of the seven dwarfs hiding behind the door and windows, which really open and close (with Velcro fastenings).
Then that magnificent heel, I absolutely adore the high gloss finish on Snow White, kneeling in the forest with a bunny and deer snuggling into her. It's really, really beautiful.
To perfectly coordinate your ankle boots, you need the Happily Ever After Bag. This bag is the traditional 'house' style that's come in various forms over the years featuring cats, dogs and even festive gingerbread. The bag has one main compartment with a zip along the top and a flap over that. There's two fixed, short handles and then a longer (adjustable) strap that can be clipped onto the sides.
Like the boots, the front and sides of the bag are designed to look like a woodland cottage and it works so well considering the already 'homely' shape. I particularly love the green, curly wool used in the trees on the sides and above the front door. Once more you'll find a door and windows that really open with dwarfs peeking out behind them. Also the embroidered birds on the handles-I loved the birdies in Cinderella with their little headscarves on and I love these too. The back of the bag is dominated with a woodland scene from the movie, with Snow White surrounded by her animal pals.
If these are all a little too sweet for you, then IC are also bringing us villains, boo, hiss! The Evil Queen are sleek black patent shoes with a glitter heel, shaped like Liebe or Ti Amo from the current season. Across the counter there's a beautiful ruby heart jewel with a metallic and jewelled dagger through it. I shouldn't really say it's beautiful considering it's meaning in the film, but it is!
They have a pointed toe with stunning, embroidered Evil Queen face. There's a narrow T-bar attached to a strap shaped like her crown, which is really cleverly done. The strap has a small button on it, but actually fastens with Velcro.
Final piece for you today is the return of the round, drum bag. Still The Fairest Bag is the same style as Animal Was Here from Muppets or Oh My! from Mickey & Friends. The structured bag has a patent finish, with apple print and black (fixed) handle. The Evil Queen adorns the back of the bag, looking particularly menacing with her signature red lips, lilac eyeshadow and glittering crown sitting upwards to the handle.
The front of the bag features Snow White looking perfectly coy with her shiny black hair and sparkling red (puffy bow) hairband. The bag zips around, there's red scalloped trim and also a detachable longer strap which can be clipped onto the sides. You'll note the linings in both the shoes and bags from Snow White are metallic blue, but the soles remain the same as Mulan last week (as expected).
What do you think? Last week blew me away, this week, there's so many beautiful things to see. The Evil Queen shoes are more simple, but I think they'll be really stunning on and I love the way the detail continues up the T-bar and onto the strap and also love her actual face (possibly because we are eyebrow twins!) and the round bag is like two in one with the option of wearing it on the "good" or "evil" side. I'm always excited and grateful to see new character heels and Happily Ever After are so very special and that scene on the back of the bag is one of my favourite stills from all the Disney films. Just two weeks to go until this collection launches online and in stores!

Wow, so much detail and lovely that you get to share these pics.
ReplyDeleteI really like the shape of the heel on the queen shoes. And the fact that the super round drum bag is being reimagined once again. I just wish I liked Disney.
I haven't got anything with this new shaped heel, really tempted with the Evil Queen ones and absolutely loving the new character heel.
ReplyDeleteLove these though not the queens- she is scary!!!
