Haul & Preview: New Look Novelty Clutches

I didn't make any resolutions this year, but I could resolve to fix my blog 'pending' post pile! I photographed these bags back in November and the photos have been sitting in a folder ever since. Not very productive.  I'm pretty sure I even wrote in my diary a few times to post them, but I didn't even start editing never mind writing. No more! I must make an effort to post ALL of these 'forgotten' folders of photos. How do you fancy some (May) birthday photos in February and Christmas gifts in April? FOTD and reviews from 2011? Don't laugh, it could happen!
So back when I wrote this post regarding the New Look novelty clutches, I was adamant I would be getting both unicorns and unsure about which Christmas ones I'd buy. However, you've already seen my sparkly snowman (which I bought separately) and the pastel unicorn and here is the remainder of that haul and I've linked to where you can find them in stock.
Pale unicorn (sale £7.50) needs a pal and here is his glossy black bro (sold out). He's not iridescent, but he's ultra shiny and has a gold, metallic mane. I suspect fingerprints galore with use!
Ah the chocolate coin (here sale £7.50 or here sale £2) and someone has taken a bite out of it! Wasn't me I swear! This one is actually reasonably roomy, provided you can fit your crap into a round space of course.
Not quite Charlotte Olympia, but a pretty good copy substitute. The gingerbread man (sale £6) is perhaps a better shape for fitting stuff in.
This chocolate bar (sale £2) is huge (well by silly clutch standards). Also with a bite out, but if you ever needed to carry a long ruler or similar shaped implement around, then this is the clutch for you.
While I do like them, the quality of the original clutches in my opinion, was far superior.  They each had several different colours, textures/fabric pieces per bag which felt like real leather (the newer ones are that 'woven' look plastic).  For £12.99 though, you can't complain and they are still cute.  Anyway here they are with the rest of the gang (pre Snowman, which you can find here in the sale for £6 or here for £5 btw), but all is not well...
No, I thought I'd photograph the milkshake, burger and doughnut, only to find my doughnut wrecked. I'd had all three sitting flat, on top of one another (I mean seriously how else could you store them?) with nothing else on top and then I find the pink icing imprinted with black (the backing of the bag on top of it). It will not budge, it's ruined. So beware of how you store these. The real clanger is, I haven't even used it yet. None of them : (
The doughnut is now down to £2 on the NL site, so I'm tempted to buy another and chuck this one (I literally have all of the bags spaced out around my room now, in between or on top of things without touching!), though I don't need anything else and refuse to pay postage on a £2 bag (tell me I'm not the only person that hates paying p&p?).  I still haven't got the striped bauble either, but am considering it for next Christmas.  
Anyhow, I thought you might be interested in seeing what New Look has in store for us this season. You thought the novelty bag was...a novelty? Nah, we can get another season out of these puppies and we're going tropical and fruity, yeah man! Meet the banana clutch and matching purse.
Kinda cute, but not as fabulous (I don't think) as the pineapple!

My favourite though has to be the Fab ice-lolly! I never could eat them (slow eater of ice lollies and ice cream and Fabs would melt everywhere on me).
Plus there's a dripping ice-cream, complete with Flake, mmmm. I might need this even though I already have a similar ice-cream bag...it's strawberry ice-cream though, so surely I need vanilla too?
This little Queen of Pop(corn) purse (£4.99) is already out and is rather cute.
I thought you'd like this wee ghosty fella too...or is he a tooth? "Character purse" is all New Look will tell me.

The clutches will retail for £12.99 and the purses £4.99, but I don't have any more information on exact release dates.  What do you think? Lots of lovely things to come and I've no idea where I'll put them all!
