Flashback Beauty Friday 36: Bloom Lip Gloss

Last week I shared the fabulous Lancôme shell eyeshadow compact from their 2008 Spring collection and today I have a lipgloss that for a long time was my absolute favourite gloss. I adored it!

It's the Bloom Lip Gloss in Twinkle. Bloom are an Australian brand and I'm not sure it was ever widely available around these parts. My Mum brought it back for me when she went on a trip (England, I think).

The brand started in the early 90's but apparently was stocked in Superdrug in 2009, then phased out in 2012. Like I say, I can't recall regularly seeing it stocked anywhere, so I don't think my local Superdrug stores ever had it.  The brand does still exist in Australia, but not in the UK.

My Mum bought it because she knew I'd like the cute packaging and the colour was spot on for me at the time (okay and now, who am I kidding?). A brownish-nude with subtle shimmer. I remember it smelling really good and feeling lovely on the lips. I'm surprised there's anything left in the tube, I really used this all the time, I just loved it.

The back of the box reads "Love those lips!!! Bloom's Lip Glosses contain a hint of colour and a delicious blend of oils. Each gloss colours and conditions as it shines, leaving lips soft, glossy and glam. Slick over your lip colour or go it alone for a barely there shade."  Do you remember Bloom? I'm sure this was the only thing of theirs I ever had.
