So Cinderella launched on Friday and while I take photos of the individual shoes to review, I thought you might be interested to see the box they came in. Irregular Choice have really outdone themselves with this one, I love it. I found myself gasping out loud as I unwrapped the pretty pastel coloured box, then once more as I slid it open to reveal the tissue paper inside.
The front and back of the box (as always it's up to you which is which by the way you slide the box in) features Cinderella in her ballgown, with the Fairy Godmother and her magic wand. The other side has the castle in the distance with the horses and carriage. The pictures are framed with a border, Irregular Choice style and have the little mice and birds on them too. The mice in the bottom corner might just be my favourite. "Disney" is printed in gold, made to look metallic (though it isn't) and "Irregular Choice" is contained in a scalloped heart, just like on the Believe In Magic pumps and Faith In Dreams courts.
The sides of the box feature the same frame with the castle print (of the insoles) in the background and the gold Disney logo with the birds and ribbon above. "Believe in the magic" is scribed in the border with twinkling hearts, scalloped edges and larger hearts in the corners.
Unusually the drawer part of the box is printed on all sides (excluding the inside). Usually you'll find a pattern on the front, but not always the base and sides too. It's the blue dreamy castle print all over and the whole box has a glossy finish. Again on the front end, you'll find the birds and bows along with details of the shoe style and size as normal.
Then the tissue paper, oh it's so cute! It's pink with mice; Suzy and Perla with needle and thread, Gus and Jaq dancing (I think I've got that right anyway) with the birds and ribbons and Disney and Irregular Choice printed all over.
It's definitely one of my favourite ever box/tissue styles, it's really lovely. What do you think?
