Bought & Thought

Clarins Lip Balm Crayon close up
The first of my new 'Bought & Thought' posts featuring something I've purchased recently alongside an inspiring or encouraging quote to perk us up.
I've been using this Clarins Lip Balm Crayon in My Pink for a couple of months now and didn't think anything could rival my beloved Instant Light, Natural Lip Perfector.  However this just might.  It's a non-sticky crayon that moisturises like a balm but has a little sheen and colour (depending on which shade you get).  It's obviously not as glossy looking or feeling as the tube stuff, so if gloss isn't your thing, actually you may prefer this one.  It's one of those products you can apply in the dark and I love the no mess, twist up application.  I thought the name of this shade was a little strange, until I realised this is the one colour in the collection, that actually reacts to the pH of your lips to create a unique shade for you.  Hence 'my', duh!  This is why when I've swatched it (full haul post coming next week), it looked colourless, yet is actually quite pink at times on my lips.  It's already one of those products that I feel I need multiples of, to leave all over the house, in bags etc, so I'm never without it!  Have you tried this or any other brand 'lip crayons'?    Bought & Thought Quote

    1. Remind me of colour changing 'mood rings' or something!! I've definitely noticed some days it's very pink, other it's a more subtle rose. Let me know how you get on with it if you buy it x

  3. It's lovely and I love that it changes color. The last color change lipstick/lip balm I bought was in Paris and I thought it was just a slightly light orange lip balm and then I bought it and put it on and then suddenly I had the best raspberry red lips:)) It was such a nice surprise too

  4. I've heard about the product that uses ph effect from givenchy.
haven't used it nor saw it in person so couldn't say anything really but about lip crayons.
I've tried rimmel one.which called Crayon Pen Lip & Cheek shade 001.
wasn't bad but wasn't too good in my opinion.
it might useful if you want wear really light like coloured lip balm but I don't like when lip looks blurry (you know?)
not that weak pigmented though,it can wipe off with finger really easy and wasn't my kind.
I want try revlon's lip stain actually!well I guess you are the one of user don't you...?
anyways I've heard a lot of good review about that lip stain so : )
