Half Price Revolution Christmas Gifts

It's that time of year again when I feel totally overwhelmed with all the "Black Friday" emails and offers popping up. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a genuine "Friday" or even weekend deal, but I've been getting emails ("to prepare") for weeks already and more often than not, the deals are just regular promotions or sales that they've bundled up into a black bow to look more enticing for this time of year! Then the genuinely good deals, I feel pressured to take advantage of, because it's stuff I want anyway and at a good price, but so close to Christmas, I don't have as much money or shouldn't be spending on myself anyway. However, one place I was keeping a close eye on was Revolution beauty. I really wanted some of their Christmas gift sets as they looked adorable and had exclusive shades in them and from today, they have 50% off. chocolate bar eyeshadow palette with Black Friday banner offer

Obviously that's a brilliant deal, even Superdrug don't have them as cheap as that at the moment. On top of that, I have a code for 5% off your order (when spending £40, see bottom of post) and you can choose a Revolution Lip Kit for free with your order (when you spend £20, a little window should pop up reminding you to choose it in your basket). It was too good an offer to resist, so I've ordered the three sets I wanted, for less than the Chocolate Vault at full price. It's pretty bonkers! stock image of pink chocolate heart box with makeup palettes in front on white background
The items I ordered were; I Heart Revolution Chocolate Heart (£30 down to £15). This comes adorably packaged in a large pink heart shaped box, like an old-fashioned chocolate box. Inside you'll find all new or exclusive products, that can't currently be purchased individually. There's two chocolate eyeshadow palettes, in Red Velvet and Peanut Butter Cup. A Praline Face Palette, which contains 5 shades and a Chocolate Heart Shimmer Bronzer (could be a highlighter on darker skin or a shimmery bronzer or blush topper on lighter tones). Now there was a bit of discrepancy with the value and retail price of these sets. Originally (as you'll see on Superdrug), this was priced at £40 with the contents apparently valued at £33...not a good deal. Granted, these aren't items you can buy outside of this set and the packaging is adorable, but I don't like paying extra for that. At £15 however, none of that matters! The eyeshadow palettes usually retail for £8.99 each, so it's even cheaper than two of those and there's the extras too. chocolate vault gift set stock image with chocolate eyeshadow palettes and lipglosses
Similar story with the I Heart Revolution Chocolate Vault. It's down to £37.50 from £75, but is £80 (down to £40) on Superdrug. The contents value is supposed to be £100, but I believe they backtracked on that, as it's more around the £75 mark. Once more though, it's terrific at £37.50, working out at £3.40ish per item. So inside, you get a lot! There's 3 lipglosses, in Praline, Salted Caramel and Chocolate Cherry., each smelling like their name would suggest. Six of the large eyeshadow palettes, in S'mores (exclusive), Strawberry Cheesecake (exclusive), Cranberries & Chocolate (exclusive), Salted Caramel (the only one I already have, shown below), Lemon Drizzle and Macaron. That's not all, there's the Mini Face Praline Palette and Chocolate Strawberry Face Palette. 11 items and a good mix of newer palettes and some exclusives, which you can only find in this set. I like that they're doing that, as most fans of the brand are looking for something they don't already have or can't buy individually. I can already tell, I'll be like a kid in a sweet shop when this arrives, it's brimming! Did I mentioned it comes packaged in a giant chocolate bar looking box? eyeshadow palette open with mirror lid
Finally, I bought the I Heart Revolution Heart Heaven (below, £30 down to £15). I love the regular line of highlight, blush and bronzing hearts and this set contains 5 exclusive shades, in suitably festive themes. Candy Cane highlighter is actually red and white striped in the pan (I'm dying!), Apple Cinnamon highlighter is golden, pinky browns in the traditional stripes. Marzipan highlighter has a marbled gold throughout, Snowflake highlighter looks to be a champagne white and Gingerbread highlighter is deeper brown stripes.  I'm wondering if this is more of a bronzer for me (though these hearts tend to be pretty shimmery rather than a bold pigment). I love that the outer boxes also match the theme and yeah that Candy Cane one is killing me. I'm not sure if it'll mix to like a pinky blush shade or of course you can use a smaller brush and pick out the individual colours in these. I personally like a red flush on my cheeks, so I'm intrigued by this. stock image of 5 makeup highlighter hearts on white background
So, the three sets came to £67.50, I also got my free lip kit (Revolution Retro Luxe Kits Gloss in Opulence) and you can use ZV0C33 for an extra 5% off and there's free delivery in the UK when you spend £15. £64.12 delivered, for 6 hearts, 3 face palettes, 3 lip glosses, 8 eyeshadow palettes and a lip kit is so brilliant, it's ridiculous! There's plenty more gift sets and advent calendars for you to choose from, these are just the ones I wanted.  Revolution are changing their offers throughout the week, so if you see one you like, it's best to act quickly.
