Festive Beauty 2022: Day 11

Until Christmas I'm blogging (or trying to) every day with beauty products from limited edition, Holiday collections over the years. Much like Flashback Beauty Friday, but with a festive twist. Last time I shared the 2009 highlighter from No7 and today I have one of MAC's gifting sets. Head over to The Shoe Girl Diaries if Christmas shoes are your thing, as I'm blogging from my Irregular Choice collection, daily. Also check the bottom of each post for a sneaky little online treat.
I bought a lot from the 2019 MAC Starring You collection. Unusually, more from the gift set range than the colour collection. The packaging was black in smooth glitter, boxes adorned with stars in pink, rose gold and gold. Today I thought I'd show you the Taste Of Stardom Mini Lipstick Kit. This is not the type of thing I'd usually buy from MAC as I have no shortage of their lipsticks, but I think I got in the sale after Christmas and I thought the packaging of the lipstick cases and also the clutch was cute.
Inside the velvet and glitter slim clutch (which can be used as an actual bag) is a removable tray of mini lipsticks in 12 different colours. Some were exclusive to this set (the names with Stars in the title), others are classic sellers from the mainline (aside from Nouvelle Vogue which isn't new but also isn't permanent). There's a variety of finishes with 1 metallic, 5 mattes, 2 frost, 1 lustre, 1 dazzle and 2 retro mattes.
The lipsticks look minute, but are 1.7g/0.05oz (usual MAC lippies are 3g) and each case is self coloured with a glitter gradient on the lid in a smooth, shiny finish. This is my favourite packaging MAC do, when it's smooth but sparkly, it's stunning.
I've swatched them all. There's a reasonably good variety of colours, I think this is what usually puts me off lipstick sets (especially at Christmas time), they can be filled with brights and mostly red. There are some shades that looks quite similar to each other though. I wore Lost In The Stars today, it's really pretty. Swatches are swiped several times on bare skin with no colour/light editing.
FREE makeup set when you spend £50 on Armani makeup.  Valid until 31st December or until stocks last, will not add to bag if out of stock.  No code required.
