Monster High Monday: Gloom Beach Clawdeen

Image
My goodness, I'm behind with work right now. I've had a pretty hectic few weeks, so want to apologise to all the lovely bloggers that I've not had time to visit lately. I've missed getting to comment on your blogs each day, but am planning a Bloglovin' super catch-up when time permits. I have a couple of The Shoe Girl Diaries posts for you and some beauty hauls (finally got me some pennies, whoop whoop), but for now, here is this week's Monster High Monday. Clawdeen the fiery little wolf, has a plethora of bright colours for this swimwear line and a lot of purple in her hair which I'm sadly lacking (I just woke up one day it and it was pale lilac!). Not to worry I tackled a freshen-up colour today and gave my hair quite the chop. You know when you just cut off a little bit more to even the sides, then a little bit more and a little bit more, until you practically have no more to cut? Yep, that was me! Less to dye, that's my reasoning! Anyway ba...

Monster High Monday: Dawn Of The Dance Cleo

Image
Hola! I'm feeling very sluggish (too much Easter chocolate and all my activity last week catching up with me), so I had zero motivation to post this yesterday and I'm not feeling much better today. However, I got to try out a different eyeliner technique and I totally failed matching the lip colour, booo! So it's worth reading for those two alone! This week, my doll is Cleo de Nile, now I'm not a collector of Cleo (there's only ever been one doll I really liked of her and it's not this one), but I got her in a multi-pack and kept her at the time. Cleo started off as a main character and although technically she was in 'the gang' she was the bitchy one that just used Ghoulia as her sidekick, so I never really warmed to her. MH then introduced her sister Nefera (who kinda put Cleo in her place to be honest) and with the addition of the cat trio as the more 'catty' characters (no pun intended), they became the nemesis of the main MH girls and ...

Monster High Monday: Clawdeen Wolf

Image
A little late with 'Monster High Monday' this week, sorry about that! This time featuring the stunning Clawdeen Wolf. She's sooo pretty, I especially love this (original) versions hair, it's just so bouncy and vivacious! I definitely don't envy her werewolf yellow eyes though... not for me as you can see here! Clawdeen is a sassy little werewolf and along with Cleo De Nile, is the only character to have her family members introduced. First with her brother Clawd (seriously hot for a cartoon/doll) and her fiery little sister Howleen more recently. Clawdeen has a no-nonsense attitude and has no trouble speaking her mind. Makeup wise, she has deep wine lips here and her signature colour is purple, so she's wearing lilac and purple eyeshadow. She's the first MH doll I've featured that actually comes wearing blush (a warm pink), so for once I don't need to alter that for my own face. On my face is the same foundation I wore last w...

Monster High Monday: Gloom Beach Draculaura

Image
Hello peeps, long time no speak! Hope you all had a good Christmas and are looking forward to the new year. 'Monster High Monday' has come later this week, purely because I haven't had time to edit the post until now. I still took the pics on Monday though, so we don't have to worry about renaming it 'Monster High Sunday' or something! This week the inspiration was the ridiculously beautiful 'Gloom beach' Draculaura. Now I don't normally collect the Draculaura dolls, my sister does. She's a bit too 'childish' for me, however when the Gloom Beach one came out and looked this pretty, I had to have her. It's possibly one of my favourite makeup looks and I don't want to disappoint you, but I feel like I failed massively this week! Either I didn't get the application right, used the wrong products or more than likely, I'm just not as cute-as-a-button as this little pink skinned vampire! I'm again loving the chan...

PHP's Beloved Beauty Bits (May)

Image
What's up chica's?  April's 'Beloved Beauty Bits' went rather well, so here's the products I've loved using throughout May.  I didn't have so many items this time, but it'll go like that sometimes. I'd rather use this post to tell you my absolute favourites, than add things in just to make up the numbers! Milani Powder Blush in 06 Mango Tango :  In April I loved bright pink cheeks and in May things got even brighter.  I've found my DSLR isn't keen on picking up bold colour, so you'll have to take my word for it, that this is 'bright-as'!  As the name suggests it is a bold mango colour (think coral-pink) with a strong hint of almost neon (really)!  It's really pigmented, super-scary in the pan and a very unique colour.  On the cheeks though it's a perfect flush of coral, yes it's bright, but really pretty.  I think Milani discontinued this a couple of years back and it was hard to find anything Milani in the UK a...
