Much like Flashback Beauty Friday but with a festive twist; everything featured will be from limited edition, Christmas collections, past and present. I had the optician's the other day, my first time out of the street in 2 and a half years and the first time I've been outside since a dentist appointment in January (exciting life I lead eh?) and I wore the HC Moody palette. I've fallen in love with those palettes all over again, so I couldn't resist. The green is so pretty; a soft muted colour but it has this sheen and brightness to it that make it stand out without being garish.

Should I tell you the story about photographing these three times?  I probably shouldn't!  I'd already previously photographed the gloss, but remembering I had the eyeshadow (green, I thought), I decided to take them together.  After doing that yesterday (I was awake from 5am because of the heat), I was convinced I really did have the green (I pondered if age had discoloured it, until I read the shade name and knew it had nothing to do with green), so rummaged further and did indeed find a green tube.  I don't remember owning two, but clearly I did! If I wasn't so fussy, I would've just added in some separate photos, but here we are (I even changed the background because I wasn't happy with it)! Sometimes as I'm writing these posts, I realise I may have had more than the item shown from the collection, this is one such week, but more on that later. Last time, I shared the BeneFit Black Orchid eyeshadow in I Pretended Not To Notice. I forgot to mention that I thought the shade name was weird, but in a good way. Imagine someone asking what colour you're wearing and replying "I Pretended Not To Notice"! It may not be a good descriptor for the colour, but I'm sure the name would stick in your head. This week, I'm going back to an old No7 Summer collection.

I couldn't resist choosing something from Boots budget friendly line, 17 , for Flashback Beauty Friday today, as they have just relaunched with a brand new look. 17 or Seventeen as they were sometimes known, were seen as the more affordable, trendy younger sister of No7. The brand launched in the 60's and were eventually discontinued in 2018 after 50 years. Much to my surprise, they've come back for 2022 with an entire new line up.  Starting from just £2, there's 170 items using vegan ingredients and as always, not tested on animals. My retro item today comes from a limited edition collection in 2011 and if you missed my posts last week, I was looking at one of the MAC Disney Venomous Villains products .

I'm going to continue my Festive Beauty posts until the end of the month seeing as I intended to do 24 (until Christmas), but missed some last week. My last post was the Laneige skincare set from their 2021 Dream Land Collection and today I have an old MAC holiday launch. I think I told you about these photos previously, that I took them, then later that day thought the packaging seemed familiar in lipstick form (I'd only photographed glosses). I quickly found the lipstick and had to retake them to include that! Group shots of anything will be the death of me! My Irregular Choice Festive Footwear will be up later and I have my final advent calendar reveals too, which I'll hopefully get up here tomorrow.

I said I would probably keep you updated on the Paul & Joe Makeup Collection 2021 (or advent calendar) as I opened it.  So here's my first part, days 1-8, I'm super impressed already.  Much like the last one I bought in 2019, there's been a mix of their makeup and skincare so far and something utterly adorable!  I also bought another beauty advent during Cyber Monday.  After including it in my list of 20 beauty advent calendars on the blog, back in October, I've been thinking I'd rather like it.  So read on for that too.
