Pink Haired Princess

Hello lovelies, I hope you are well. I've been in a bit of a funk this week and didn't feel like blogging, so didn't force it and now I'm feeling much more keen to get stuck in. Starting with a beauty post and a really cool item, this Nails Inc Paint Can by Lottie Tomlinson in Good As Gold * . Good As Gold is a limited edition shade (so snap it up now if you fancy it) and it's precisely what you'd expect of such a name, gold! The colour swatch on the can is a terrific indicator of the colour inside as you'll see in the photo below.

Hot on the heels of the news that Models Own are to produce their own crackle nail polish (Smash Up £6) in several colours, Barry M have finally released 3 new shades of Instant Nail Effects to add to their original black. You can pick up White Frost, Blue Print or Pink Fizz (for £3.99 each) to crackle over whichever colours you please! Just an added fyi, Nails Inc. have 3 shades (purple, black and pink) of their Special Effects polish £11 each. After the success of 'Black Shatter' (above, £10.50) from the Katy Perry collection, OPI will be releasing a silver version as part of their Pirates Of The Caribbean range, I believe it launches in May. Meanwhile China Glaze have a collection of 6 Crackle Glaze paints (£12.99 each), so there's plenty of choices for you.

This week I've been wearing this hot reddish orange colour. It's by Nails Inc and is called Instyle Beach and was free with last months Instyle magazine. I subscribe and because they can't send the (glass bottle) nail polish in the plastic bag the mag comes in, through the post, you have to email them and they send it out separately. I emailed and after 3 or 4 weeks hadn't heard anything more. It turns out they didn't have enough stock and a new batch had to be made and would be available mid August. A couple of weeks later mine arrived (must have been a quick batch?) and I was a bit disappointed with the shade they sent. I had wanted to try the mink coloured one, but didn't want to risk getting 2 bottles (by buying another copy of the mag). Although if it's the same mink one that Diet Coke were giving away in Boots last month, it wasn't as exciting in the flesh as it looked in the image.
