Pink Haired Princess

I recently got this product free with....Instyle magazine (I think). It's quite a magical product and really surprised me. I got shade 02 Bronze Glimmer and in the tube it looks like your standard copper, glitter lipgloss (much more copper than in the image below) and didn't look to be your usual 'stain' product. When I pulled the wand out, I was surprised that the sponge applicator was actually purple. Was it just the sponge or the actual product? Well when I applied the (still glittery copper shade) stain to my hand it did indeed flash purple, but still with this strong sparkly copper shade on top. Then I blended the swatch and was left with a deep pinky purple stain and the glitter migrates. At first I didn't understand how this would be a 'stain' until I tested it. You can see on my hand, the rubbed in stain and the glitter that moved all around my hand, next to it is the product straight out of the tube. I'm not sure how I would feel about this as ...

My first post back at my old blog home! If you haven't been following me over on (thepinkhairedprincess.blogspot.com), then you'll have some catching up to do with the below posts! However due to computer problems and further hard drive/camera issues, I haven't been posting as frequently as I'd like. I'm still finding my way and Mr Computer Man is very slow in reuniting me with my hard drive, but normal posting should resume in the next few weeks. I've also been having some problems in my personal life, nothing major, just trying to get over the flu. I have ME and so energy problems affect me every day but going through something like the flu, makes me 10 times worse. It is my nephews 3rd birthday this week, so we did manage out for a family meal yesterday and it was nice to get out of the house and dressed up for the first time in weeks. I've lost a little weight from loss of appetite, so was pleased to fit into this gorgeous, vintage looking blue Primark ...

Most of these pictures came out speckled when I resized them, so I either had to delete them or blur them a bit (you may have to squint!). This was the Pout lipslick LOTD and Milani Luminous blush. For eyes, I used Social Climber all over the lid and up to the brow (it has a pink sheen to it), then Linear Lilac over the lid to the crease, where I used Straight Hedge-all from the new MAC Graphic Garden palette. With L'Oreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss and The Body Shop Super Volume mascara. I sneezed mid photo-taking (below), that's not me laughing! Normally I'd wear a necklace, but I was going to my dress fitting and didn't want any unnecessary bits and bobs.

Free with the August edition of Instyle magazine are these fabulous The Body Shop Eye Definer pencils. You get two, shade 01 Black and a choice of either Brilliant Blue, Glowing Amethyst or Vibrant Emerald. I subscribe (so obviously didn't get a choice) and I got 11 Vibrant Emerald-the green one. I'm quite tempted to get the others though. The pencils are really soft and the colours very metallic. I've been wearing the black for the past few days and the staying power is excellent, no smudging here! I'm not sure if this is true for the metallic colours though, as I found it much easier to smudge them during swatching.
