Haul & Swatches: Lancome GWP

Image
This post has been neglected for so long! I ordered the stuff back in May and each week it's been 'carried over' into another week because I've not had time.  My health woes this year have been well documented, but this past week I've been struggling with motivation and fighting extreme tiredness on top of hospital appointments and having my nephews here 3 days a week.  Blogging has just been a no-go unfortunately.  I'm still completely shattered today, but have given myself a wee pep talk and the first thing to tackle was this post. There's so much editing and writing required, that's why I'm unable to post them as regularly as I used to.  Anyway enough blethering, on with the Debenhams/Lancome haul. My main only reason for buying was because they had a rather spiffy GWP, but I dithered for so long on what to get (actually I was holding out waiting for the summer collection that never happened), that the couple of things I'd wanted went ou...

H! By Henry Holland: My Top 5 Dresses

Image
Hello my lovelies, I hope you are all well and enjoying the little bit of sunshine. If you follow my other blog, The Shoe Girl Diaries , then you'll be fully aware of my love for the H! by Henry Holland range. I find it's generally quite generously sized, so being on the cusp of 'plus-size', the 18's actually fit me well. Debenhams is one of the rare places I can walk into and have options and choice on what to buy, which makes a pleasant change.

Fancy A Flamingo?

Image
I've always had a bit of a fascination with flamingo prints on clothing and accessories. Known for being kitsch, quirky and fun, it definitely appeals to my playful side. It's no surprise then that I'm captivated by the new Moschino Cheap & Chic collection , where the pink feathered birds take centre stage. In saying that, the collection is a little less 'in your face' than you'd expect, with fresh white and pastel shades, rather than a more traditional 'tropical' print. The birds feature these cute, dangling beaded legs, which give added movement and dimension to the clothes.  It's a really lovely touch.   It's well worth browsing that collection even if it's only to 'window shop' because every item is so wonderful, I'm in awe of it all. If I had to pick a favourite, it would probably be the flamingo shaped bag £393.  Every season Moschino produce these wonderful quirky shaped bags, from a 'paper boat', to a ...

Haul & Swatches: Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick

Image
So you know when I go to buy makeup, I take this super serious and organised stance, researching colour descriptions, trawling blogs for swatches, scribbling notes, saving photos and in the end completely confusing myself by adding more discoveries along the way to my wishlist? Well I spent two days figuring out which of these new Estee Lauder lipsticks to buy. Two entire days. Unfortunately it's something I have to do when I'm unable to get to the shops. I could swatch 'em at a counter and make up my mind in about 2 seconds flat, but that's not an option for me right now. Anyway I bought two online and have another to buy once I figure out if it's different enough from those I've already got. The new lippies are called Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick and have created a real buzz in the beauty industry already. I can absolutely see why. It's the first time in years that EL have formulated new packaging for their lipsticks and this one is very ...
