I'm blogging past and present Christmas beauty releases every day until Christmas with a discount code or free gift offer at the bottom of each post. yesterday I shared an eyeshadow palette from Kiko's 2020, Holiday Gems collection. Today, I'm very excited about the item I have. I've been wanting to blog this since I got it from Santa last year, but was saving it for my Festive Beauty posts this year! Over on The Shoe Girl Diaries, I'm sharing my Irregular Choice Christmas or festive looking shoes, daily. Today, I have something from the current season, a twist on an old character heel.

This is the Dior Rouge Dior Minaudiere, Case & Lipstick Holder from their 2021 Atelier Of Dreams Collection. For years now, as part of the Dior gift sets, there's been a case with lipsticks. The case were usually zipped, leather-look with patterning or branding on the front and many people DIY'd these into proper handbags as they didn't come with straps. For 2021, Dior not only made it into a proper bag with strap, but elevated it into one of the most extra makeup items I own and I absolutely love them for it.

Last week I shared a now discontinued product by Australian brand, SugarBaby (Glamour Puss), if you missed that. I'm hoping to blog every day in the run up to Christmas with special 'Holiday' launches past and present, as I did last year. I realised I have absolutely loads of limited edition Christmas releases, so can definitely manage another year of it, so that will replace our Friday posts during December. Today, I have one of my most treasured makeup items, something that makes me feel very nostalgic as I wanted this so badly.

I had another good rummage last weekend for products for this series and discovered a lot. There were a couple of things that had me teary eyed, one in particular I'd completely forgotten I owned and I love it. I'm thinking of doing my Christmas blogs again this year, so am saving any special festive launches for then. Seeing as schools went back here this week after the summer holidays, I thought it apt to photograph these items today. Firstly, last week was the jewellery themed Lancôme tubed eyeshadows and gloss from 2007 if you missed that.

I wasn't happy with the photos I took last year, so reshot them this week...still wasn't happy, but now I've looked at the stock photos, I can see the brand also had issues with getting the colours correct. I hope you enjoyed Festive Beauty during December, whilst Flashback Beauty Friday took a break. I thought I'd kind of combine the two for January with a look back at limited edition pieces from Chinese New Year collections. Most beauty brands these days do something special to celebrate the Lunar New Year, whether that's their regular skincare line in special packaging or limited edition makeup releases. If I'm really honest, in the past few years I've looked forward to these collections more than the festive Christmas launches which have been becoming a bit tired. None of the items date back too far, but hopefully it'll still be of interest for you to see.

I'm going to continue my Festive Beauty posts until the end of the month seeing as I intended to do 24 (until Christmas), but missed some last week. My last post was the Laneige skincare set from their 2021 Dream Land Collection and today I have an old MAC holiday launch. I think I told you about these photos previously, that I took them, then later that day thought the packaging seemed familiar in lipstick form (I'd only photographed glosses). I quickly found the lipstick and had to retake them to include that! Group shots of anything will be the death of me! My Irregular Choice Festive Footwear will be up later and I have my final advent calendar reveals too, which I'll hopefully get up here tomorrow.

I'm back with another Festive Beauty post, sorry for the long gap, I've been exhausted and needed a break. I've also been getting very frustrated as we haven't had daylight at all this week, not even an hour, so I can't take any photos. Anyway, my limited edition pieces today date back to 2010 and as always read to the bottom for an online treat. My Irregular Choice Festive Footwear post will be up later, but I did post a new one this morning of the original Santa heels (I was a day behind on there).
