I expected this post to be a little less mundane than usual, as I actually left the house and did something for once (nothing 'exciting' sadly).  I wanted to be really truthful about how that feels, but it's hard to put into words without sounding like a narcissistic moanbag!  I suspect I'll cut a lot of this out, but read on for a summary of that week.

Following on from my previous posts, "Life Lately" is my new blog feature (written weekly), basically summarising my week.  It's a mix of everything in my daily life; music, TV, what I've been buying, perfumes I'm wearing, how I'm feeling etc.  As I mentioned last time, it took me a long while to get here, writing posts again, so these blogs are now old(er) news, but as I'd already done the groundwork for a lot of them, I figured I'd start where I intended.  I may catch up somewhat in the beginning, but because of my M.E., I'd like to always remain slightly behind, so I have room for manoeuvre, should I need it.  Hopefully these posts will encompass all the topics I specified I wanted to discuss in that introductory post.  Let's go!     What I've been doing;  I finished this c...

Seeing as I rarely manage to wear makeup these days, but still enjoy beauty blogging, I thought I should begin documenting my manicures. It's something that in the past year at least, I've tried to regularly maintain (every couple of weeks or so). I'm also training myself to blog something that doesn't involve screeds of writing and tonnes of photos! Surely I can manage a couple of photos and short paragraph? So, these were my nails for New Year. I'd prioritised too many other things (as you do) that by Christmas my nails were all chipped and I didn't have the energy to do anything about it, so although I wasn't going out anywhere, I decided to make them nice for Hogmanay.

Despite being so excited about these hauls at the time, it's taken me ages to finish the post. It's an extremely daunting task as it's taken three different days of photographing and consists of nearly 80 (finished) photos, two hauls, a gift with purchase and the Christmas beauty box! I'd finished editing the photos a couple of weeks ago, but just didn't know where to start with writing it up and that's been the stumbling block for me. I can't tell you the amount of times the tab has been open and at the end of the day, I've closed it without adding any words! I'm on a mission to complete it today though, because for starters everything in it is absolutely wonderful and well worth reading about.
