LOTD: Week 3

Image
Post does not contain any PR gifted products.  Post contains affiliate links, marked with * (which can earn the blog a small commission on purchases made). Hello, I hope you're all keeping well.  We've gotten some much needed rain (the grass is green for the first time all Summer) and it's been a bit cooler (thankfully), so I've been able to sleep at night.  It's actually been feeling slightly Autumnal for brief moments and as we say in Scotland "the nights are fair drawing in" (means daytime is shorter/night is coming quicker), so it's time to shut the curtains and put the lights on earlier than usual.  Dare I say, I've been thinking of Christmas?  I keep getting emails about beauty advent calendar waitlists, so I think it's that, coupled with the change in weather!  Here's my round-up of lip combos and perfumes I've worn throughout the week.

LOTD: Week 2

I'm back with my second 'Lip Of The Day' weekly round-up, catch my first post here if you missed it and if you're new to my blog altogether, welcome.  Here, I post which lip products and perfumes I've been wearing each day.  A little reminder that these posts are currently weeks behind and that I do sometimes wear older makeup (unless it looks or smells icky), as I like to use my products as much as I can.  That said, I tend to reach for balms, oils and glosses these days which happen to be more current.  I wear perfume throughout the day and most nights put on another before bedtime.  EDT stands for Eau de Toilette and EDP is Eau de Parfum.

Life Lately: Week 1

Image
Post does not contain PR gifted items.  Post contains some affiliate links, marked with * (affiliate links can earn the blog a small commission on purchases made). Following on from my previous posts, "Life Lately" is my new blog feature (written weekly), basically summarising my week.  It's a mix of everything in my daily life; music, TV, what I've been buying, perfumes I'm wearing, how I'm feeling etc.  As I mentioned last time, it took me a long while to get here, writing posts again, so these blogs are now old(er) news, but as I'd already done the groundwork for a lot of them, I figured I'd start where I intended.  I may catch up somewhat in the beginning, but because of my M.E., I'd like to always remain slightly behind, so I have room for manoeuvre, should I need it.  Hopefully these posts will encompass all the topics I specified I wanted to discuss in that introductory post.  Let's go!     What I've been doing;  I finished this c...

LOTD: Week 1

Post does not contain any PR gifted products.  Post contains affiliate links, marked with * (which can earn the blog a small commission on purchases made). Welcome to my first proper post in a very long time-I hope you're all keeping well.  This series will focus on my LOTD's (Lip Of The Day) and which perfumes I've been wearing with them.  As I mentioned last week, I got into the habit of wearing daily lip combinations years ago, despite no longer wearing a full face of makeup.  Lip products have always been some of my favourite kinds of makeup, though I'd say my tastes have changed somewhat over the past year or two.  As you'll see, I mostly wear lipliner with a balm, oil or gloss and tend not to reach for my lipsticks as much (lipstick always used to be my favourite).

Festive Beauty 2022: Day 6

Every day until Christmas, I'll be blogging limited edition, festive beauty releases. Last time I shared the 2021 Paul & Joe collection and I'm continuing the cuteness with something Disney themed today. Remember to check the bottom of the post for a little online code or freebie and see The Shoe Girl Diaries for some Christmas Irregular Choice shoes.

Hello my lovelies, how are you today?  I have the most wonderful lipstick to show you.  Isn't that just the prettiest thing you've ever seen?  Even my Mum was impressed and she doesn't wear makeup!

Monster High Monday: Dot Dead Gorgeous Operetta

Image
I have to confess that I haven't watched any of the Monster High webisodes for some time now (just haven't had time). I have seen the 'newer' character Operetta in some of the DVD releases though.  Although the way MH are releasing new characters, Operetta is pretty ancient by now! I think the doll looks more 'grown-up' than the rest of the gang (definitely not school age) and comes across as older than the others. In the cartoon series, she does have an air of maturity around her and can be quite snooty towards the others which is rather amusing! She's not an enemy of the central characters, but I wouldn't say she's in that inner circle either. Anyway, I think she's a really beautiful doll and character. She always has pin-up, rockabilly type clothes and accessories.  Her fiery red hair with black streaks is usually styled in quiffs or victory rolls which look awesome. As the daughter of The Phantom Of The Opera, she's marked dow...

Monster High Monday: Gloom Beach Clawdeen

Image
My goodness, I'm behind with work right now. I've had a pretty hectic few weeks, so want to apologise to all the lovely bloggers that I've not had time to visit lately. I've missed getting to comment on your blogs each day, but am planning a Bloglovin' super catch-up when time permits. I have a couple of The Shoe Girl Diaries posts for you and some beauty hauls (finally got me some pennies, whoop whoop), but for now, here is this week's Monster High Monday. Clawdeen the fiery little wolf, has a plethora of bright colours for this swimwear line and a lot of purple in her hair which I'm sadly lacking (I just woke up one day it and it was pale lilac!). Not to worry I tackled a freshen-up colour today and gave my hair quite the chop. You know when you just cut off a little bit more to even the sides, then a little bit more and a little bit more, until you practically have no more to cut? Yep, that was me! Less to dye, that's my reasoning! Anyway ba...
