Festive Beauty: Day 15

Something brand new for you today, but if you missed yesterday, it was a lovely little cat print set from Paul & Joe in 2017. My Irregular Choice Festive Footwear post will (hopefully, my head is pounding) be up later on The Shoe Girl Diaries and as always, check the bottom of the post for a little treat.
I've been buying a few Dolce & Gabbana makeup items this year and whenever I saw the promotional image for their 2021 festive release, which I didn't even know they did (not being a long time buyer of their cosmetics), I went crazy for it. Unfortunately the nude gloss I wanted sold out, but as you can see the gloss I did get, looks super festive when compared to the eyeshadow.
The Royal Gloss, Shine Lip Plumper in 1 Precious Red, is a stunning deep red in the bottle (most like the first image with the bag, but my camera picked it up lighter on it's own). The bottles are glass and feel so decadent with their gold crown detailed lid and stone in the top.
The plumping gloss comes with a slim, slanted wand applicator. I haven't had the chance to use this yet, so don't know if it does plump or is so shiny it creates the illusion of more plumped up lips.
Then there's the Royal Shadow, Liquid Eyeshadow in 2 Vibrant Green. This one also comes in a deep brown, but this green is totally my kind of colour. The sparkles in the lipgloss are less noticeable, but the strong metallic sheen and shimmers in the eyeshadow are not difficult to see.
Again, it's housed in this beautiful glass bottle with the crown lid and a slanted sponge applicator.
When swatched, the gloss is much more of a cherry red, though still relatively deep, it's a beautiful shade and you could see the gold glitters when tilted. I'm not a red lip fan generally, that's why I wanted the nude, but this is truly a beautiful shade. It can be sheered out, but in a couple of swipes it felt pretty opaque if that's more what you'd like. The eyeshadow is icy cold when you apply it. It's a bit lighter than in the bottle and I built this up (waited until the first layer dried down), as it applies quite sheer to begin with.  It builds nicely, without disturbing the base layer.  Again it's stunning. I can see myself wearing it all year round, but probably the gloss will come out at Christmas time.
Your treat today is a FREE 6 piece skin and makeup gift worth £71 when you spend £85 or more at Shiseido.  Valid until 18th December, with code GIFT at checkout.
