I haven't done an 'I Want This' for a little while and I like to only pick items that I'm head over heels in love with, however this one is solely for the rich and skinny! Counts me out then! Jack Wills is a shop that I have never been in, my sister and her husband love it though-it's all a bit too sporty and stripey for me. They claim to be 'University Outfitters' and 90% of the students in my town are rich and stupid enough to shop there. I used to be shocked selling them £20 Clarins bubble bath, when that was my entire weekly budget as a student! So long story short, I'm sure the shop does very well here. I have my Mum to thank for spotting this item, when she came home today telling me about the "most exquisite dress you've ever seen, totally you and you won't believe it's from Jack Wills"! I hurriedly hopped onto the website and she wasn't wrong. Mum saw the striped version in the window, but you also get a floral print, both are sending me into a total frenzy!! The Winchelsea dress is 100% cotton, fully lined and boned, with a detachable petticoat of cotton and net layers which make it over the top voluminous (loves it). Absolutely glorious, I'd die for this!
Before you get too carried away though, the dress costs £298, that's at least 6 times the price of any other dress they sell and is only available in sizes 8, 10 and 12 (which is now sold out). Losers! Also, I think there are laws against teaming it with dirty wellies and striped socks as styled on their website. A festival filled with drunks and mud would never get near my £300 pretty dress!

I agree with you, that is one of the most gorgeous dresses I have ever seen! x
ReplyDeleteLOL did they style it as in festival-wear? hahahaha guess they've never been to a festival then! I've been to many, and the only people that would possibly wear a GBP300 dress is the performer on the stage, not the grubby festival-goer that barely showers twice all week lol
ReplyDeleteBut it is veeeeery pretty though...but not very practical ;)
I've discovered a "new" webshop btw! Don't know if it's a good idea to tell you about it as it might be a bit tempting :P but here it is:

it's an American shop though...don't know if you order much from the US? I've been doing it more and more lately...I keep finding cool shops haha! The shipping is often reeeeally brutal though so I try to keep it to a minimal...BUT I've fallen head-over-heels for this dress:

I TOTALLY NEED IT! I'm going to be watching it like a HAWK! And if it sells out before I get money I'm going to cry. Or maybe I'll just buy it before it sells out and spend less next month (yeah right lol)...there are way to many cute dresses out there...I'd almost say I wish the floral-dress trend would end so there'll be no more temptation!
Marlein, that dress totally got my attention before I read the rest of your post and realised that's the one you were talking about...absolutely gorgeous. I know what you mean, I feel compelled to buy floral dresses whilst they are in fashion, but it's bankrupting me, because there are just so many and I fall for each one!
ReplyDeleteThe Jack Wills dress is one of the prettiest I've ever seen, but I'd look ridiculous in it (even if they made bigger sizes), like a sumo fairy or something, haha!
Hi Guys!
ReplyDeleteGreetings form London :)

I do not mean to spam you or anthing but.... imagine this:
I was soooo in love with this dress that I saved over £300 and I bought it a few months ago.... I wore it once and sadly I got fat :) If you are interested I can sell it for half price £150, or even less £100 just to get some of my money back... The dress is lovely in size 8 version with flowers and looks like new . Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks x ed09031678@gmail.com
