Yesterday I went back to 2011 for the MAC Glitter & Ice Collection, today I have a beautiful highlighter from a brand I always rely on to come up with beautiful festive pieces. My Irregular Choice Festive Footwear post is up on The Shoe Girl Diaries and remember the discount code or treat at the bottom of each post.

This is the Dior Diorific Perfumed Illuminating Powder in 001 Rose D'Or from the 2013 Golden Winter collection. There were two colour options at the time, 002 Pearl D'Or was a more gold variant. Mine is a champagne pink.

It's lightly scented with J'adore fragrance, but I remember struggling to smell it instore and it's not something I notice when I open the compact. The compact is gold, very weighty and domed and unfortunately reflects absolutely everything and then some, so no shots of that closed!

The pattern is based on the Masai necklace (Charlize Theron wears in the J'adore adverts), but once my Mum said it looked like a theatre seating plan, I can't unsee that! The little bobbles are the seats in rows.

The compact comes in a velvet pouch with a brush, mine has gotten a bit misshapen over the years. I've still never used this powder...I keep thinking I will, then I just open it and stare at it and can't touch it. It looks beautiful, the colour and sheen, so I really should.
