This week, I bring you more exciting reveals from the upcoming Irregular Choice and Disney Muppets collection. Last week we had the very loud Animal and this time, it's fashion diva, Miss Piggy.
Original Diva are similar to the lovely Miami we saw this summer from the USA Road Trip collection with Ashbury Skies. I mentioned back then, that the heel shape is new for Irregular Choice, though often seen on Poetic Licence styles and there's a small concealed platform with contrast polka dot lining beneath the peep toe.
The front vamp consists of scalloped turquoise suedette, lilac and multi-coloured glitter sections, extending into a slim T-bar and ankle strap, complete with heart shaped buckle. In the centre, you'll find a shiny metallic star with "Miss" on one shoe and "Piggy" on the other.
From a side angle these shoes are even more stunning with Miss Piggy's face on the counter, her hair extending down the heel. There's lots of different materials and embroidery used to really bring her to life. I love her furry face and that her ears stick upwards towards the ankle.
Of course every diva needs a bag to match her fabulous shoes and Hiii-Yaaa is the perfect partner. With a base shape like Cat Call or the more recent Whoa from Mickey & Friends, this is a large shoulder bag with one main compartment. Miss Piggy's face fills the entire front of the bag and once more there's several textures and materials used and a multi dimensional feature with the ears. I adore the huge pearls around her neck to the bottom of the bag and the sparkling lilac eyelids to mirror the shoes.
The back of the bag is lilac fur fabric with large embroidered "Hiii-Yaaa!!!!!" applique. You'll be shouting that every time you use the bag!
If you note the glitter on the front of the bag matches the front of the Original Diva shoes and the silver holographic material used on the lower sides of the bag is a perfect match for the heel of the shoes. Brilliantly coordinated details in these two.
As always this bag comes with two fixed handles to wear either on the shoulder or carry in the hand. There's also a longer detachable strap which fixes onto D-rings on the sides.
Like the Donald Duck bag last season, the finish is meticulous with metallic stars on the ends of the zip fastening and at the base of the D-rings, just beautiful. This is another spectacular duo, fabulously fun and I love the bright colours. Will these pretty piggies be making their way into your collection when the range launches?
