Mini Louboutin anyone?

I spotted this cute clutch on a celebrity ages ago at some awards do, I think it may have been Dita Von Teese, anyway, she's one lucky lady. I think I covet this Christian Louboutin bag more than his shoes. The metal clasp adorning the top of the bag is none other than a pair of miniature Louboutin heels, complete with red soles (how cute?). I had never noticed the sole detail until I looked the bag up on Net-A-Porter this week. You can buy the emerald green satin for £563 or the pleated nude version for £543 (more stock coming soon). It's not a phrase I use, but I have to say this clutch is absolute darling!

The dreaded V day

I hate Valentine's Day. Well actually I hate February as a whole, it's miserable, grey, cold, nothing happens and people always die in February! I'm sure most will assume I hate Valentine's because I am single and don't have anyone to celebrate with. However they couldn't be further from the truth. I just despise what it stands for. Why should we be forced to feel romantic on one day of the year? I used to spew a little at those girls who would receive a huge bouquet of flowers at the office or the girl at school with the huge fluffy teddy on V day (you know who I mean!). It's certainly not envy, I find the whole thing embarassing. I can be very romantic and I'm sure if I did have a boyfriend, I would leave gifts for him and little notes etc without being told that this was 'the day' to do so and also it would be private, between us, and not something to show off to the rest of the world 'look at my tacky teddy with heart, I have a boyfriend'!!
With that said, I do love the new stock at Punky Pins (top) and Lady Luck Rules (above and below). They are on the right side of kitsch; pretty jewellery to wear or give to that someone special. The personalised neon name necklace is bound to be popular and I love the glossy lips necklace both from PunkyPins. At Lady Luck Rules, I love the French Kiss and Lipstick Lovers chains. The Love Tokens necklaces are a little bit of cute, vintage charm and all would look gorgeous, worn any day of the year!

Bye Bye Salon Kitty

Sad times as the recession hit yet another company. This time it's boutique website Salon Kitty, who are closing after 3 years. I have to say that although it must be so destroying for them to be forced to close their business, I loved their honest and upbeat letter to customers on their homepage, plus the term 'do a Woolie's' is both hilarious and heartbreaking. They will continue to sell through their site until all stock has gone, so go and check the sale prices and find a bargain. I have my eye on the Miss Alice and Miss Sicily shoes by PeepToe, reduced to £60 each, gorgeous!

More Marvelous Shoemissy Treats

My no-buy took another blow yesterday, although I paid using Paypal, which I don't think qualifies as 'real money' (or is that just me?). Anyway, the wonderful Shoemissy are having a sale and I couldn't resist the Hello Sailor and Loch Ness peep-toes. I have to admit that I own one of each style of this seasons Shoemissys (French Maid, Starlet Hot Pink, Bobbie, Immodesty), so it wasn't exactly necessity that drove me to buy more. However, I didn't own and really wanted a tartan rosette pair and although the black (with either red or monochrome tartans) would perhaps be the safer bet, I really like the blue and the Hello Sailor are so cute and nautical, I couldn't refuse. On top of the website sale, I used the code SHOESALE which qualified me for half price (again!), so at £12.50 for a beautiful pair of shoes, it was destiny!I still have my eye on Nancy (below) and may buckle in a few days and get them too. If you are interested in using the discount code, it's valid until February. Also coming then or shortly thereafter is the exciting Spring/Summer range (bottom). This image is from the Shoemissy Facebook page and I love the pastel shades and large buttons, bows and flowers; looks like a winning collection already!
