Video: Irregular Choice R2D2

I tried to get some photos this week of my R2D2 heels (last day to save 20% today with code FAB20) for Shoesday Tuesday, but the lighting was terrible, so I'll have to re-attempt it this coming week. Instead I put together this video, so you could see how they look on the foot. I'm trying to make more of an effort with my YouTube channel after neglecting it for a long time. I said this last time, but it's much easier with my webcam now and I find these little shoe videos easier to produce, so do let me know if it's the type of thing you'd like me to continue to do.

Like I said in that original post, these shoes do feel very high to me and I'm accustomed to high heels. Of course the fact I haven't walked properly for 2 years, will have a lot to do with it, but it's amazing how just a 1/4" extra height can make the difference. I posted a heel comparison with some of my other character heels on my Facebook page this week and they all have the same sized concealed platform, just slight differences in heel height. It's interesting to see how some I don't think of as 'high' and are easier to walk in, are actually pretty close to this. Anyway, I managed a brief walk and turn etc for this video and remember how I couldn't get my bare feet in these originally? They are slipping on much easier already. I dare say I'll get used to the height, but I'd take Tall Tail over these any day, my legs were aching afterwards!  I hope you enjoy the video.

  1. I do love these in theory, but they just look sooo uncomfortable on the foot! I'm actually quite happy I didn't order any, as I think I would be sorely (quite literally, maybe) disappointed... :/ Too bad, as they're really cool.

    1. I do wish they were just a fraction lower or the platform a little bigger. I'm hoping I adjust to the height. I must be getting old!

    1. Me too! No, they are wearable but I wouldn't walk miles in them that's for sure.
