Flashback Beauty Friday 6: Hard Candy Kiss & Tell Lip Gloss

It's time for another weekly trip down memory beauty lane, with an old makeup item.  Last week, was the very pretty Stila Sakura powder if you missed it.  Hard Candy were the bomb back in the day, for really quirky and cutesy makeup.  After a rummage through my lipgloss drawer, I found these Kiss & Tell, Fortune Telling Lip Gloss. They were essentially clear scented/flavoured glosses with names such as Kismet, Fate, Luck and Destiny.

The interesting part was the floating fortune telling ball in the lid that you shook to reveal simple answers like "yes" or "no" (that'll teach me for not wearing my glasses, it's not "on" 😂).

The liquid has evaporated now in my lids, so they are rather noisy to shake!  Quite why you needed to ask your lipgloss the answer to very important (or unimportant) life questions, I don't know, but HC certainly had unconventional packaging ideas.  Actually even now, I kinda dig that whole lucky vibe thing, so would be very likely to buy something named Fate or Destiny!
