Final Chapter: ASOS Curve Wiggle Dress

Do not think this is an old post creeping into your reading list, it's new honest!  If you've been following the escapades of this floral dress, then you'll know that I've already unsuccessfully tried two and here is my third (time lucky) attempt!
I probably shouldn't declare my love for the ASOS wiggle dresses again (I mean you've heard it from me a million times previously), but yeah, I love them. This particular chapter began with the wiggle dress in texture floral print from the main line (size 18, too small), which you can read my review of here. Then came the Curve wiggle dress in big floral (size 18, again too small), see my review here (right down at the bottom), which I eventually got around to exchanging for a bigger size. I haven't exchanged something for a long time with ASOS (possibly years), but the thing that used to annoy me was, my original order would be with next day delivery (or nominated) with my Premier account. Then when it came to getting the exchange sent out, they'd just send it regular post and you had to wait a week for it! Seemed silly and annoying when I had a Premier account (would be quicker to re-order).  However if you used a discount code (like I had here), then you wouldn't be able to use that a second time and would need to re-order at full price, so you had no choice but to wait. Anyway this time, when they dealt with the return, they sent out the exchange the same day with next day delivery. Yay! Or not yay, if you weren't planning to be in that day (luckily there's always someone at home). Anyway, it arrived and I've eventually felt up to trying it on and here it is. wearing asos curve wiggle dress and details
To be honest, I didn't think it looked very big when I pulled it out the packet and when I started to try it on (over my head with the zip done up), I didn't think it was going to go on. I need not have panicked, because it does fit. It's a tiny bit big on the waist and a little baggy in the hips (but I think I lost 6lbs when I was unwell the other week), but much comfier up top. Actually the others didn't even zip up on me, so obviously it's comfier! In all likelihood, I'll wear it with a belt, like I've shown here (this one if you're interested) and y'know extra hip space means more room for food, so that's alright! The sleeves are definitely shorter than the regular wiggle dresses and there's not loads of room in the lower end of the skirt (I suspect it'll live up to it's 'wiggle' name). When pulling it down over my hips, it was very tight. Not a problem if you unzipped the dress and stepped into it, but then I can never zip them up if I do it that way.  A strange thing I've noticed today is that this dress is showing up as £60 on the main page, but £48 when you click on it and the same if you add it to your basket.  I paid £60 for mine with a 30% off code (and it was still showing as £60 when they sent out the replacement last week), but I'm a little annoyed it's cheaper now (without being in the sale).  You might want to be quick and snap it up before it changes back.  On top of that, I have a 20% off code for you, valid until tomorrow (23rd Jan at 8am).  It works on their Curve, Petite, Tall and Maternity ranges and the code is JUSTRIGHT.  I ordered a Tall wiggle dress I've had my eye on.  I'm hoping the length will be perfect, because the regular wiggle is quite long, the mini is too short, but this is 'Tall mini', so perfect on little me?  We'll see.

  3. I love the belt you paired it with and the dress looks lovely on you. I admire your patience because I would have probably given up on the dress if it hadn't fit twice before. But it paid off in the end as it really looks lovely :)

    1. Thank you. I was unsure if the belt would fit (it's from the main range), but it does, if I wear it high on the waist. Yeah I considered returning the dress again to re-buy it cheaper, but can't be bothered! I've been sending LOADS back recently, had three massive returns in one day that I'd been saving up!
