Free Cosmetics With Glamour & Red

Another thing that seems to have passed me by was the Benefit offer with the current issue of Glamour magazine. I subscribe and hadn't realised my subscription had just finished. When I was sifting through last months mag to recycle it, I noticed the advert offering 3 different Benefit pencils free with the July issue; Bad Gal eyeliner, It Stick concealer and Eye Bright highlighter. The mag came out on the 10th June and I know these issues are always extremely popular, so I had no chance of finding any. My wonderful little sister has checked all over town in her lunch hour and managed to find one copy in Tesco with the It Stick. Just as I sat cursing myself for letting this great offer slip through my fingers, Mum found loads in the newsagents at Dundee bus station today, so I now have Bad Gal and Eye Bright too. Yipee! That's £45 worth of makeup for only £6! If you are still searching for your mag, remember there are also 3 different cover stars, Lily Allen, Zoe Saldana and Al...

Boots Haul

Image
I had a very busy schedule planned for this week, but after falling down the stairs-it was all put on hold. My parents are going on holiday soon, so there were lots of things I needed to do before they left. However these things happen and I'm on the mend. One such outing for me was to Boots , the offers changed last week, so I was keen to do a little haul. Remember the Glamour Glosses I mentioned previously from Too Faced? Well, they happened to be doing a little GWP and my local store don't stock the brand, so I've been chomping at the bit to get to a larger store to purchase them! I was going to buy online, but I also got some Boots vouchers in the mail (double points etc), which needed to be used instore. So my Mum kindly went for me today (list in hand), she didn't have a very successful time though. There was no sign of the Too Faced GWP and no offer on the brand at all-I don't know if this is the case for all stores. The online gift is free when you spend £2...

Fierce & Fabulous

Image
I doubt these shoes would have caught my eye normally on the River Island website. However I got an email from them yesterday and although they were promoting dresses, my eagle eyes immediately shot to the models feet to see which shoes they wearing. Some images featured my gorgeous, embellished cherry shoes (which I think I promised more photos of?) and in another I saw these spiked creations (click pic to enlarge). My initial reaction was "wow, fierce!". I hopped onto their website and there they were. Towering suede platforms with gold chain like detail and those amazing spikes which really come to life when on the foot. This is why I maintain (and partly why I started The Shoe Girl Diaries ), that it helps enormously to see footwear actually on the foot-I otherwise would've skipped past these. If you too like them they are apparently dark blue rather black btw, from River Island for £64.99.

Tour De Force

I'm still searching for the perfect hat or head piece to wear to my friends wedding this summer. I've been ogling the delightful creations by Tour De Force for some time now. The designs are so fresh and unusual and definitely dramatic, which is the look I was hoping for. Fellow Scottish blogger, Queen Michelle of Kingdom Of Style has been absolutely rocking two of their head pieces (lucky girl), in black and a gorgeous bright turquoise. I have to keep in mind that my hair will be bright pink, so perhaps something black would look most dramatic against that, whilst bringing together the black tulle underskirt and black from my Charlotte Olympia shoes. Although I'm sure the Blue Damsel Rose headpiece (shown above) would be stunning with bright pink too. It's absolutely beautiful-I love it! I'll need to take another look at my floral dress and see if there are similar shades in it, that could be brought out by such a colour. I thought the Bunny Bow headpiece was a l...
