A little late with 'Monster High Monday' this week, sorry about that! This time featuring the stunning Clawdeen Wolf. She's sooo pretty, I especially love this (original) versions hair, it's just so bouncy and vivacious! I definitely don't envy her werewolf yellow eyes though...not for me as you can see here!
Clawdeen is a sassy little werewolf and along with Cleo De Nile, is the only character to have her family members introduced. First with her brother Clawd (seriously hot for a cartoon/doll) and her fiery little sister Howleen more recently. Clawdeen has a no-nonsense attitude and has no trouble speaking her mind.
Makeup wise, she has deep wine lips here and her signature colour is purple, so she's wearing lilac and purple eyeshadow. She's the first MH doll I've featured that actually comes wearing blush (a warm pink), so for once I don't need to alter that for my own face.
On my face is the same foundation I wore last week (the one I can't disclose yet as I'm trialling it), with Illamasqua Rich Foundation in 115 under the eyes, E.L.F. Studio HD Powder in Translucent and on the cheeks is Versace Glam Touch in V2072-M. Yes, the yellow eyes are scaring me too!
My eyes were relatively simple to do, although I seemed to use a lot of different products to get the right shade. I began using Paul & Joe Eye Gloss in 05 L'Aurore (which is a pale, sparkling lilac) as a base, paying particular attention to under the brow (where Clawdeen has the lilac sheen and sparkles). I intensified the lilac tone slightly by sweeping the lightest shade from my Guerlain Radiant Colour Palette in 265 Touche de Parme. From the lashline to the crease I used Urban Decay 'Asphyxia' eyeshadow with the lightest shade from Milani 07 Wild Violets quad. In the crease and sweeping outwards, I used Lancaster Chameleon Eyeshadow in 116 Divine Iris. Then under the eyes I smudged the darkest shade from the Milani palette which is a deep grey toned plum.
I also wore YSL Waterproof eye pencil and L'Oreal SuperLiner and the mascara is another item I'm trialling that I can't mention yet.
The lips were really easy to do with my Pout Lip Line Definer (clear) and MAC 'Dark Deed', Amplified Creme lipstick. It seemed appropriate given Clawdeens love of animal print to wear a touch of leopard print!
So that's it again for another week! I've just have added some new dollies to my collection (arriving tomorrow), so we'll have plenty Monster High Mondays to come!

Monster High Monday: Mad Science Lagoona
Happy New Year! I'm not keen on posting two similar posts consecutively but that's just the way it's worked out as we're back to Monster High Monday again! I love Lagoona Blue, I think she's utterly adorable! I also feel she's very undervalued in the Monster High series and releases. Personally I think from watching the webisodes that she looks like a fabulous friend, she's very level headed, extremely beautiful and I just love the mash-up of her accent which comes across as Australian one second then Cockney the next (funny when it's not supposed to be)! I feel the other MH girls ignore her a bit though, as she's always stuck 'in the pool' being a sea monster and all and she's not always considered a 'core' character in doll releases, even although she was an original character, which annoys me! She seems very sweet anyway, so it's nice to see her featured in a few of the newer collections.
This particular Lagoona also happens to be one of my favourites. The release was based on school subjects and she was 'Mad Science' and even came with a little jar with a froggy in it! I think she's adorable in her white lab coat (I usually feared 'catching' something wearing the ones at my school)! She always has lovely shimmering blue skin, freckles and green eyes; so for once the colouring isn't too far from my own.
Her makeup features a bold, bright turquoise eye (which appears more blue in the pics, in reality it was bright aqua) with glitter highlighter and a frosty medium pink lip. She has no blush, so I altered that for my own face.
As usual I used, YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat in BR10 with Illamsqua Rich Foundation in 115 as concealer under the eyes and finished with ELF Studio translucent loose powder. On my cheeks was Playboy First Blush in Pink Pussycat.
For the eyes, I used a base of Paul & Joe Eye Gloss in 05 L'Aurore (a sheer sparkling lilac) with Urban Decay eyeshadow in Electric, applying from lashline to slightly above the crease (the colour isn't as 'exaggerated' as it has been on previous dolls). As it's a matte shade though it can look a little 'flat', so I used Lancaster Chameleon eyeshadow in 108 Pool Vibrations over the top just to soften the look a bit and also took this under the lower lashline. I applied MAC 'Reflects Pearl' glitter as a highlighter under the brow for some sparkle like Lagoona (the glitter is much prettier in person). As it's a loose powder, I dabbed the P&J eye gloss and applied the glitter while that was still 'wet' to avoid it falling everywhere. Eyeliner is YSL Waterproof pencil with L'Oreal Carbon Black SuperLiner and YSL Shocking Volume mascara.
For the lips, a frost lipstick was required to emulate Lagoona's lips. I used Clinique Long Last lipstick in All Heart as a base and also to add a deeper tone to create that mid-pink as I used Wet'n'Wild Wild Shine Lipstick in 52 Enamored over the top, which is much lighter. These two combined were absolutely spot-on the shade of this dolls lips. Sadly neither Lagoona's nor my lips showed true to colour in the photos (hers came out much lighter and more lilac, mine more rosy-red), so I had to play around with my lip shade here to show a slightly more true colour. If you've ever seen this doll in real life though, these two lipsticks undoubtedly mimic that lip colour.
I was pleased that this was a completely different look yet again from previous weeks. You can find my first Ghoulia post here and Draculaura last week here or click the "Monster High Monday" logo in the sidebar for all posts. Are you still enjoying my Monster High inspired faces?

Quick FOTD
Oh my goodness, it's been soooo hot today. I think I've just realised that I'm a winter bunny, all this heat makes me feel like I'm melting (trying not to complain about it though!). Plus, I can't seem to find anything to wear that's cool but not indecent! I used to think I was the opposite, that I didn't do layering and cold weather dressing very well, I've definitely changed!
I had a lie-in this morning which has done wonders, I really needed it. I've been feeling so lethargic and fat and just out of sorts all week. I had a nice cool shower, then pinned my hair up (so it's nice and curly tomorrow) and properly wore makeup for only the 2nd time this week. I ended up wearing a white floral dress from Dorothy Perkins and popped a little black cardi over the top and black leggings for going out in, then took them off the minute I got home! It was just as hot inside as out though, we had fans and open windows and doors and everything going on! And my afternoon cuppy had to be replaced with a Mars ice-cream, yum! I only took this one image today, I wore my MAC Fafi scarf to cover my hair, Lancaster Chameleon eye shadows in 113 Dream d'Azure and the slightly darker 106 Midnight Ocean in the crease with Lancome Ombre Eclair pencil in Silver on the lower lash line and inner corners to highlight. My lips are The Lap Of Luxury lipgloss and my blush is Fashion Frenzy, both by MAC.
My FOTD from the other day is coming up shortly and I also wanted to mention-just because I think it looks so prominent in this image, my scar next to my...left eye (had to check which one it was there!). I fell against the corner of a coffee table when I was a toddler and have been left with this little dent. I can vaguely remember it and it all the blood but I don't even notice it much now. Although, it's funny because my Mum mentioned it the other day, saying how with hindsight they probably should've taken me to get it stitched at the time. What can I say, I'm a hardy lass! I also have a little scar next to my nose on the right side of my face, going into my cheek, it's not too noticeable-I had a lump removed just before my 18th birthday. That one scarred me for life, mentally, I can still shudder and feel the pain of the injection, there's nothing that can prepare you for having someone repeatedly stick a needle into your face, then there was getting the stitches out which was almost as bad, because the surgeon made them so tiny. The nurse made it bleed trying to grab a hold of the stitch, but that's probably too much information, sorry guys!

FOTD 24/07/09
I think my blush was W'n'W Silk Finish in Heather Silk, which is my absolute favourite blush right now (yes it beats Pout, MAC etc). It gives such a healthy flush of colour, so pretty and lasts all day. It's scary dark pink in the pan, but so, so pretty on my cheeks, I can't encourage you enough to go out and buy it, seriously!
